PC : Sleep/Hibernate when not in use. Restart (to clear RAM, Updates, Etc) once a week.

Console : Turned off after every gaming session.

Yes, I do. There are arguments for both being best, since a hard boot (start-up from off) isn't the nicest thing for your hard drive, but at the same time, it's a laptop, and gets damn hot. Personally I'll take a little more strain on my hard drive over the risk over overheating while I'm not home most of the day.

if i didn't turn my xbox off after every session i fear it may ring-of-death me
we know how delicate the 360 can be
as for the computer
once it's on it stays on until i leave the house or go to bed no matter how little i need to use it

Yeah, ofcourse. Electricity costs money, i don't haev a money tree, hence, i try not to use unneccecery power.

Same goes for heat, which is why my radiators aren't turned on yet even though winter is coming.

I turn off my 360 after I'm done playing on it, but I put my laptop on standby. It's old, so it takes a while for it to turn on if I were to shut it down completely.

I always turn off both my consoles and my computer when not in use, also my television, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't count, because only a fool would leave their TV on 24/7.

I always turn off my console since it'll probably die if I don't.
When it comes to my PC, I click "Hibernate" and it shuts down entirely without having to wait for all that startup bullshit when I start it up again. It just loads the things that were running :)

My PS3 is always on stand-by when my laptop is on. My laptop is always on charge when I'm on my PS3. With only one plug in a hard to reach position, I can't exactly take plugs out.

I always used to just leave my PC on all the time but then it over heated and stopped working, so I got it fixed and now I make sure I turn it off every night just to avoid that problem, as for my Xbox 360 I turn that off when ever I am not using it.

I leave my PC on all day long, because I use it all day long.
I only turn it off when I go to sleep.

When I leave town for days at a time, I unplug all my electronics from the wall. It only takes a few minutes to unplug them and then to plug them back in when I return.
I Kill the powerstrips personally some of the actual wall sockets are too hard to get too

I shut down my laptop every night and unplug it. This is more for practical reasons, since it has more lights that a Christmas tree and would keep me awake. The other computers in the house are just left running, which I don't know about the results of. I do know that leaving a laptop plugged in all the time tends to wear out the battery, and our 4 year old lappy with a 30 minute battery life is definitely evidence of that.

Same with my console, I'd always turn it off when I'm not gaming. However, since getting XBL I've changed that stance a bit. If I'm connected and I'm in my room, I'll just leave it on the home screen. That way I'll know if someone else is online and I can jump into a game if I want.

I don't know anything about strain on hardware or anything, I think it's unproven either way. I just do what's the most practical.

My 360 always get's turned off unless i just pop to the shop for batteries.

My PC however...where do i begin, i neither keep it on or turn it off. You see, when i got my computer (nearly a year ago) it was fine, i could turn it off no problem... then after a month shit went down, now when i turn it on, it roars like a Tyrannosaurs Rex who found someone sitting on a toilet (cookie for reference?) and when i turn it of, it makes a very high pitched static like whining sound that will NOT SHUT UP!! D:

So i have to put on it on sleep, which is not good considering i get loads of updates, so most of the time during the night it randomly updates and awakens again.

Even when i awake it it sounds like a dinosaur. does anyone know how to solve this problem while I'm on the subject?

The Wii doesn't really turn off as much as go to stand by. So, barring a power failure, it stays on.
And I try no to shut my gaming PC down. I use hibernate instead.

My PC runs 24/7
It takes a while to boot, and i'm never really in the mood to wait for it.
