Thanks, and well im not a fan of pre built pc's I find they use less than great parts most of the time, you Probably have a cheap Chinese bit of crap in there as a power supply to save on there costs :p
Nope, mine isn't pre-built, got it from PC world (if your not from UK, it's basically a HUGE PC shop) but i cba taking it in because it so much stuff i don't want to lose <3

PC world isn't known for selling knock offs, my last 2 PC's came from their and they were fine (i just blame Packard Bell) :)

I turn off my console when I'm done playing. My computer however gets turned off every couple of days. It's my laptop and god knows when I might need it. I turn off my desktop every night.

I ALWAYS turn my consoles off after a session. Leaving them on any longer than neccesary will lead to an early death for them...

I leave my computer running 24/7 because I always have music playing and without it my room is just too silent, if I go somewhere I turn it off. As for consoles, lets just say I have over 800 hours on one okami save, and then my PS2 died. I turn my consoles off now.

PC - No. I might turn off the monitor or something from time to time but I generally let it handle itself in that regard. My consoles, however, do get turned off.

I build my HTPC with lowpowered parts in it just so I didn't have to turn it off to save power. My gaming computer sucks a ton of power compared to it. It's off when I'm not using it.

PC stays on as long as I'm in the house.
Whenever I leave for a trip, and a small weekend off, I'll leave it to Norton for a defrag/update and a fresh/clean restart.

My consoles, however, I turn off every single time after use.

I mostly leave my laptop in stand-by mode.

If I did'nt turn off my xbox it would probably get the red dot of death...

mine is built to stay on 24/7. If its idling for 4 hours it underclocks the gpu and my cpu underclocks whenever its idol as well. Heat is not that much of an issue due to its lack of a case and small desk fan for cooling. I do restart it every few days however to clean out the memory, but thats about it. In the one and a half years since i built it it has crashed once from something other then a buggy game, and it was when i was testing its clock speeds.

I've had my PC on for days at a time when I got it and was downloading/installing the OS, programs, games, and transferring files. It can handle being on all the time, but I still turn it off.

Basically even though I use it regularly I think it'd use more power being all all the time, and sometimes I don't use it for days at a time. Primarily the reason I turn it off is overheating. Not that the PC will overheat (current CPU temperature is *Checks* 39 degrees, and that's perfectly fine), but rather that my room is quite small and with the PC running and me in bed it can get quite warm (particularly during summer) so I turn it off. Also the fan noise is distracting at night as is the power light.
