NEVER IN MULTIPLAYER!

Single, I tend to do it on a second run through for having a laugh. Just strikes me as pointless to buy a game then cheat your way through. (Also: Buying a walkthrough guide at the same time as the game)

I did, but then I grew up and I just stopped buying games that had cheats so I couldn't anymore.

No, not when playing through a game properly.

Yes, when I've finished it and then just want to mess around like in Saints Row 2 or GTA etc.

I bow down to thy holy developer's console and the almighty NoClip and God mode.

Okay, I used it SOMETIMES.

On a first playthrough I never cheat, unless I'm really bored and just want to get to the end quickly.

On subsequent playthroughs, I might cheat if there are some amusing cheats.

I cheat when I'm playing a screw-around kind of game. Like TES games, for instance. I'll play them normally until they stop being fun, (Except The Sims, who actually plays that without cheats?)
But real live games (Uh...linear games, I suppose that means) I don't cheat on, don't really see a point. Sorry, I tell a lie- One such game. Jedi Outcast. Best of fun, just consoling in like thirty Luke Skywalkers and killing each one!

i only cheat if
1. ive completed the game
2. the game is reeeeeeealy boring or
3. its a really fun cheat (like the moon jump, which is always good for a laugh)

you have to be careful though, not to sucumb to what i call "cheaters flu" where you become addicted to the wonderful cheats and before you know it the games finished and youve hardly done anything, although some cheats are just helpful but dont actually give you an advantage, like the super speedy train cheat on zelda spirit tracks (otherwise you spend 3 hours watching a train potter along the countyside)

I play videogames to have fun.

If I want a challenge I don't, if I want certain things to happend that cheating will allow, then I do.

Sometimes, especially if the game pokes at you with its awesome cheats. (looking at you GTA and Saints Row and Age of Empires and... you get my point)

I only cheat when i finished the game. Sure, cheating can make you finish GTA in 10 hours or less, but to pay 50$ for a short lifespan of a game is just too much.

i cheat on RPGs, particularly Final Fantasies, just to push the limits of the game system. I miss my gameshark and codebreaker.

Too bad aftermarket cheating on games is getting a bit more technical on the consoles.
Good thing PC games are still exploitable.

But to cheat on an online match? Never, that's gamercode!!!

This is pretty much me as well. Although I have been know to spawn an annihilator halfway through a mission in GTA...

I generally try not to because it really ruins the whole game removing the challenge of it. It's one of the reasons I feel that Grand Theft Auto games have a pretty short lifespan in terms of how long people like them for.

Nope. I never do unless I'm using a debug mode to just mess around with something impossible normally. Like making four copies of a boss in one fight instead of just the one.
