Well, I have pretty thick hair, so once it get's a certain lenght I really have no choice but to dual-wield hats and hairgel to get the damn thing to stay somewhere manageable. There's a reason I usually trim it to within a few milimetres in lenght.

Same reason I use styling paste (which looks great on short hair if you don't over-use it.) And I've gotten tons of compliments on it. If I don't do anything with my hair, it grows straight. 100% straight out the side of my head.
