No. I often feel the urge to use violence against those that do, too. Heck, I rarely use them online.

I never do it. It's pretty annoying online, which means it's double annoying in real life. At least that's the way i see it.

I try not to, but sometimes the 6+ hours of WoW per day can take their toll and force their way into a conversation.

My reasoning is: Abbreviations are used in typing because it's easier and faster than typing the full words as you would when speaking.

Of course.. they save time.

Not any of the ones that abbreviate laughter though... i'd rather laugh.

Wtf, Cbf and Np are fair game though in my mind. Also they prevent me from offending people by swearing.

i never have and never will, tho i do use RTFM mostly cause it's more appropriate than saying what the acronym means.

when i hear someone saying something like lol or what not, i have to resist the urge to punch them
