I want it to be sandbox, but I know it cannot be sandbox in any realistic sense. So, the only logical thing to do is merge portal with mirror's edge. *That's* the game I want. The city in ME was practically made of those shower tiles anyway, it would work just fine.

If the gameplay would've stayed consistent throughout the first game then I'd be on board with a sequel. The first person platforming was a breath of fresh air when Mirror's Edge first came out but if EA is going to make the same mistakes then no.

I didn't vote because my opinion is conditional.

The story made sense, it was pretty simple and I'm pretty sure there's no plot holes.

The level design was great. Mirror's Edge is the best 3D platformer this gen because of it's awesome level design. [Note: I don't have a Wii so I haven't played the Mario Galaxy games]

Combat was pretty simple, all you had to do was disarm enemies. And, it was damn fun running up to them, disarming, and owning them.

The game wasn't hard at any point. I played through the game on Hard without firing a gun, I don't understand how the game was hard in any way.

I loved the first one, even though it was also quite frustrating. I had too much fun rooftop hoping though. I'd probably buy the sequel if one was made.

Hells yes! Even if it's just a more refined version of the first one, the original concept is just as good today as it was when Mirror's Edge first came out.

Yes, Instant yes completely. I loved the first game and I'm still playing it long after anyone would consider being too long. And I love First person platforming in general. So if this got a sequel it would be an instant purchase for me.

A solid yes! I want a sequel and thought it was a great game...reminded me of Breakdown on the Xbox back in the day, a game I also thoroughly enjoyed.

Hmm...Breakdown 2 would be good...

Mirror's Edge was underrated. I found it to be refreshing and despite criticisms that platforming in first person was too hard I found it worked brilliantly. And yeah, it is difficult when the aim is to built momentum, but you know what that difficulty was fun and performing a particular section flawlessly was incredibly rewarding.

The universe needed a little work. You saw the world from the perspective of Faith and her situation - which was good, it didn't give you too big a story which made it engaging - but it didn't really give you the full universe; like Yahtzee said, you don't know really what side Faith and her crew are on. I know there was meant to be a 1984-type vibe but you never really got this, (in a way that, for example, the opening part of Half Life 2 did.)

Looking forward to a follow up.

The game had so much potential, and I loved the visual style (in the same way I love Okami, not the way of HURR GRAPHICS MAKE LOOK PURDY!!!). I felt this game was a brilliant concept that just missed a few hurdles and if they worked on polishing it up, I would be on that train like a panda on bamboo...

extremely rapidly and well done
Same here, unfortunately neither look very likely at this point. If they fix the flaws with the first game Mirror's 2 could be a stone cold classic.

In an industry where I reckon sequels are too many in number...I still want Mirror's Edge 2. Not really because of the story, but because because Mirror's Edge was one of our gen's fairly original titles, and I would honestly like to see more of it.

Well the story made no sense whatsoever, the level design was terrible, combat was disastrous, difficulty all over the place etc. Hey I was surprised how fun the game was at the beginning, but later I just couldn't care less. It's like someone had an idea for a game, but had no idea how to finish it, so they hired a team and cobbled the thing together in three days or something. Seriously, if they make another game like this, they only need to keep like the core 5% of ME1 and redo everything else.

Either way, ME1 was unique just for being unique, so on the other hand, instead of a sequel, why not just make another unique game, EA? A better one that is.
in all honesty, the story made sense to me, the runners are anti government outlaws, and the government takes a step by killing an important man to your organisation and framing it on your sister, so its your job to save her from corporate punishment.

the level design i thought was pretty good, although it didnt flow nicely sometimes, but mainly when there was no pressure on you.

combat was a very unfocused mechanic, that was the point, your not trained to use guns, your trained to run away from anyone who has them, also i saw someone else saying maybe have iron sight included, again, she is not trained in such things.

the difficulty was steady to begin with, and in middle it did seem a little messed up, but at the end it was as hard as you might expect, so not all over the place just a bit jumbled.

Yes

I wanted it. It wasn't anywhere near the top but it was there. I loved how it's gameplay was so different.

I voted no: mainly because I don't have much time to play games anymore so I'd be unlikely to buy something that doesn't look 100% wow to me, which this while original doesn't...
