I would like to see it, i know InFamous is better at almost every front but if i feel like just running around "pwning" stuff i play Prototype. And that it becomes something similar to assassins creed(where the second one just outplays the first one completely not the gameplay lol :p)

I traded the first Prototype back to Gamestop less than a week after buying it. I played it, beat it, and had no desire to play any more of it. I traded it in and used the store credit to buy inFamous and I've yet to regret that decision.

Honestly, if they did make a Prototype 2 I'd probably want to at least try it. But I certainly haven't spent any time pondering "What if they made a sequel" to it.

Bought it during the gamesday sale. It was mediocre, but it had lots of potential too. If they decide to make it, the should work on making the AI not fuck up, make the world bigger with more variety, and probably a new main character who isn't an unlikable douche. Also the side missions should have an impact on the world rather than kill, kill, kill. Also, make enemies smarter and at least harder. You should be forced to use different strategies to fight tougher enemies, rathe than using that tentacle thing.

The story needs some working on too... damn, there IS alot wrong with that game.

Not really.

It was kinda "meh". A sandbox, with absolutely nothing to do except kill stuff.

I don't mean to be rude here, but you could have just rented it.

Prototype wasn't all that enjoyable for me, maybe because of the clumsy PC port. Sure, messing around with choppers and om nom noming 8 foot monsters was pretty awesome, but the AI screwed you so much that large clusters of enemies became too much of a hassle to fight. You could really sense that the game was meant for consoles, not the PC ( my fingers started to hurt after about 30 minutes of messing about ).

I really dunno, maybe if they gave the AI some self-preservation ( i.e. not shoot you with a bazooka when you're 2 feet away from them :p ) I'd try it out.

YES, sure the story wasn't the greatest (well I liked the memory trees) but it was fun as hell...

I guess.
The first one was fun the first time through, but I'd only rent it.
I regret buying the first one.

I enjoyed the first despite its flaws. If they tightened up controls and boiled down the gameplay to more varied/interesting missions I'd definitely get it. But for a first try at this kind of game I felt that my money was still well spent. I mean seriously just running around doing random things can waste a good hour or two if you're bored.

Yes if they improve the plot line and made it more interesting. Although I would probably end up just roaming about killing things.

Prototype was to this day the biggest letdown a game has ever been for me. It was so hyped up, and looked so cool and complex and awesome, and then I bought it and it turned out to be a stupid "press x to kill things" game with a horrible plot and no complexity whatsoever.

That means 2 conflicting things:
1. I would be highly skeptical about a sequel
2. A sequel would have a ridiculous amount of potential if they could only live up to what the first game was supposed to be.

If they could work the flaws out of the first one, add some more weapons and vehicles and some more interesting architecture, but keep the core awesome gameplay, then it would be the shit, as the kids say.

Maybe, but only because I love Alex Mercer as a character and would want to see him again. But really, where would they go with it? -shrug-

As long as they can do it without making the mediocre story it had into a terrible one, then sure. The world always could use another sandbox game.

That's not rude, it's a totally valid point. And had I known how little I was going to enjoy it, I certainly would have gone that route instead of buying it. But since I was a big fan of HULK: Ultimate Destruction and it was the same team making it, I assumed I'd be playing it for quite a while. I assumed wrong of course, and paid for my error in judgement.

It all worked out though. I really enjoyed InFamous and since I traded in Prototype so soon after it's release, the store credit took care of the entire purchase price. So it all worked out except for the big "MEH" feeling that Prototype left me with.

Yeah, Prototype was a lot of fun, and there are a lot of cool changes they could make like new abilities, and I feel that a sequel could be really cool.

IMO, Prototype and InFamous are about the same. They're both fun, but their fun will wear out, quickly.
I enjoyed Prototype and think a sequel could be cool, but I'm not going to burst a blood vessel over it
