I do. Watching a 'let's play' with commentary (from someone suitably witty and with a soothing, slightly arousing accent) is a far better review than any ctritic - most notably I see the gameplay in action.Wolfram01 said:So like the title says, do you like to watch YouTube (or other) videos going through a game?
If you do, why? Do you use it like a review, or because you can't/don't want to buy the game?
And if not, why?
Personally I do not, because if I like a game I'd rather just buy it and experience it myself. However, I'm debating starting to record gameplay and posting it after a bit of editing for whatever the next game I buy is.
This is my excuse for not watching them. I'd rather play a game, than watching someone else play it.Daystar Clarion said:Why the hell would I watch someone else playing the game? That's boring, I'd rather, you know, have fun playing the game myself.
"One fish, two fish, red fish - oh my God, what?"FightThePower said:Yes. Especially entertaining when things screw up and the commentator gets angry - TheSpoonyOne's LP of SWAT 4 come to mind (YOU FOOL!), or this LP of Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 [http://lparchive.org/Sonic-The-Hedgehog-2006/].
