I've watched many LP's in my time on Youtube. Most notably Deceasedcrab, Cybershell13, Spoonyone, and Sirronlionheart. I do enjoy LP's, but sometimes I'll watch some RetsuPuraes on some of the poor examples of LPers. All in all it's an enjoyable experience.
I mostly watch ProtonJon's old stuff, AzuraBlade49, Deceasedcrab, PinkKittyRose, and my favorite LPer, Raocow (love his wacky non sequitur train of thought).
I think they are absolutely horrible to be honest.
I watch retsuprae every now and then, if thats gives you an idea of what I think of let's plays.
The closest it gets to for me is Freeman's mind.

I watch them for humour and nostalgia. If I haven't played the game and have no desire to do so, then I'll look for an LP that has humour in it (deceasedcrab is always funny). But sometimes I want to see a LP of a game I remember to be fun. Like Paper Mario (the first two). I loved those games, and the LP I saw for them was rather enjoyable.

Personally, I'm not entirely sure what makes a "Let's Play" different from a regular video walkthrough. I guess they originated on the something awful forums, but you have to pay for that, so nuts to it.

Let's plays are pretty awesome. I like that and live streaming.
Umm favorite Lets Player has to be UltraJman, his LP on IWBTG was just beyond hilarious, cloud8745 is who I watch for a good Silent Hill walk through, but he kinda fell off the face of the earth. Chuggaconroy isnt that bad, he had a few good play throughs. And ProtonJon is just awesome.

Yeah, I've watched a few Let's Plays before. I usually like them, even if they're not funny because they often introduce me to obscure games I've never seen before that I might be interested in. Or they show me games I played a long time ago, which allows me to re-experience those games to see if my opinions of them are justified.
But other time I just watch them because they're funny. Most recently I've been watching the LPs by Tipping Forties [http://www.tippingforties.com/Default.aspx]. They're certainly not what I would call professional, but they never cease to amuse me. Plus they're now playing Tales of Symphonia. I've been wanting to see someone else mock that game for a long time. Though watching them play it has shown me that it wasn't nearly as bad as I remember it being.

Some of them. I think that LPs would be more fun to make than to watch. But still, some of them can be really funny.
I only watch them if it's a game I want to play but can't (like I don't have the console) or if I'm playing the game too, and I'm stuck. I'll just watch the part that I'm stuck at and move on (typically).

I have watched several Let's Play videos (for example, from RanshinDA and AltEisenSpirit) and I am actually trying to make Let's Play myself. However, I have absolutely no sense of humour and a horrendous voice, which would explain the low number of views on my videos. =(
