I do because:
1. It's the law
2. I have some common sense

And you get used to it. I have a feeling that something is missing if I don't wear it (eg. when I move a car).

I do, I'm too young to get killed by some random douchebag that can't drive. I know of people who died because of not using it, so yeah...

I always do. They tell me it saves lives, and I'd rather not be fined for not wearing one.

As a kid, i never wore a seatbelt. Now I can't sit in a car without having it on else I feel like I'm going to fall out. Save me, Seatbelt, you are my only hope!

I wish trains had seatbelts...

I don't drive (and this would change if I get a motorbike) but I pretty much always wear a seatbelt.

Only time I don't are on buses/coaches (buses don't have them, coaches you're pretty much fucked anyway) and in taxis for some reason (London cab style ones - not the more "car-like" ones).

But whenever I'm in a car I always wear the seatbelt. I like my insides inside, and all those "My friend's, friend's so-and-so would have died if wearing a belt" I personally think is a load of bullshit. Those occurrences are so extremely rare that you can't "rely" on them like you can a belt (I remember one accident where a guy survived because he was thrown clear of the car without his belt. Paralysed from the waist down, but alive). But I know that at least 1000 times more people that have said they're alive because of a belt.

Being lazy, thinking it's uncool or uncomfortable are no excuse. Even if you don't value your own life, or are sitting in the back, you can still kill other people, either in your car or the car you hit, because you become a projectile (there was a fantastic advert a fair few years ago in the UK where a girl sitting in the back isn't wearing a seatbelt, and kills her brother in the front).

I do every bloody time, and I get pissy with anyone else in the car with me if they do not, especially the missus. IF YOU DO NOT WEAR A SEAT BELT YOU'RE A FUCKING MORON! I don't give a flying fig how 'uncool' you think it is otherwise.

It'll be real cool if you're in the vehicle that causes an accident and you get killed or horribly maimed and the other people in the accident have to have that on their conscience the rest of their lives.

All of the time every time. I never did when I was younger, even after the accident, but I realized that it's only a minor inconvenience for a life-saving accessory. Besides, I make a game of it. If I don't have the seatbelt on by the end of the driveway, I lose.

Dammit, I just made myself lose the game. It's been about 2 months since I last lost.

Yes, I always do. Because I got a ticket once for not wearing one.

But I have a problem with this. Laws are in place to keep our freedoms (that we are promised in pretty much every document from the founding of our nation; I'm from the US) to keep from endangering or infringing on the freedoms of those around us. Thus, for drinking and driving to be illegal makes sense: you could get in a crash and kill someone. But not wearing your seatbelt? Worst case scenario, you get in a crash and you, only you, because you're not wearing your personal seatbelt, could die. But you are not endangering others in any way by this action, and there are no laws against being stupid with your own life. So why is there a law (a zero-tolerance law, at that) requiring seatbelts to be worn? I find this to be unconstitutional and an infringement of my rights. I'll wear my seatbelt anyway, but in case I ever forget, I don't want to be fined $100 again. It's stupid and it's not right.

It's not hard to put on. It's a smooth motion that is now second nature when I get into a vehicle.

Of course, I don't want to die in a horrible car accident :/. Besides, it doesn't take that long to put on and it's not even uncomfortable.

Yes I do, I'm not stupid.

Seriously, man, that "Richard didn't want to die..." ad we have over here in the uk, you'd be mad not to wear one after that.

Yes I do. It just makes sense to wear a seatbelt, and its not exactly an effort to put one on. I also prefer not to drive unless everyone in the car is wearing their seatbelts. It's a bit pernickity, I know, but it's the way I was brought up.

I really don't like walking at all. I would rather run or bike. The pedal kind, not the motor kind.
