You do realize I meant I'm an atheist and I believe I can do anything I want as long as I want to, right?
Yes I know its just the people I meet IRL who say that are very arrogant and egoistic (regardless of being atheist or not).

That statement just brought back so many memories of people thinking they're so high and mighty that it took someone with balls to knock some sense into them...

Yes, I find myself to be quite a fantastic gentlemen and I see no reason why I shouldn't be worshiped.
Anyone other than I with a high post count? No. Not at all. Granted, I still like a fair deal of them, but "being friends with" and "worshiping as a god" are two different things.

Yes. I won't even reply to you if You are not a Gone Gonzo.

Honestly, Do you really think anyone is going to say Post count matters?

I don't worship them, I respect them. Two different things. Unless their Join-Date was really early. For example, someone might have 10,000 posts and joined this month. Someone might have 10 posts and joined in 2007.

See? But then again, the low post count means you're not contributing much so...

There used to be some post count worshipping here in the forums, back when MaxTheReaper was here, and maybe a bit before then as well, but it seems to have died down a little, I think.

Personally, I don't care about post counts. It's the quality of the post that's important.

The post count doesn't show how long you've been here, the "Joined: xx xxx xxxx" does.

It's not how much you post, it's WHAT you post.
Ha! My joined date is far older then your join date! WORSHIP ME! Or don't, but I might be sad if you don't.

nobody is worthy of worship by being a 'celebrity' on a forum...
There are celebrities in any field, how much they matter to each individual depends on how invested in the field they are. I would think someone that never watches movies wouldn't care about any movie celebrities, but if they read they might like the celebrity authors (which are the big names if you are not following).

I worship nothing and nobody. But in all seriousness worshipping someone with a high post count is silly. The only attention I pay to post count is that i take the word of an 'anonymous source' with a pinch of salt. Once people get past 'Paperboy' I really couldn't care less how many posts they have.

That's because in the days past it was harder to get a high post count. The site wasn't as active and anyone with 10,000 posts over a year was getting extremely high exposure. Now with user groups and a much more active user base its pretty easy for a determined person to get 10,000 posts in a few months, without the same level of notoriety.

No way. I've been here since 08' and I don't even have one thousand posts. Post counts don't mean a thing, it's the combination of the experience of how long the poster has been here and how the quality of their posts are. Some people who have been here only since 09 and '10 and have thousands upon thousands of post counts either mean they have way too much hands on their time, or the Escapist should get rid of the user groups counting towards post counts like it used to be.

A few years back, seeing a Neo badge was like a holy grail. Now, almost everyone and their grandmother has one. It's a bit saddening. I used to look up to anyone who had that badge a few years back as being some of the ultimate posters. But I can tell now that it's just a badge that anyone can achieve if they spam a few thousand chats and wait six months without upsetting someone. Quite saddening, honestly.

OP, I have been browsing the forums and watching video's longer then you, but have exactly 3926 less posts then you at the time of writing. So no, I see no reason to worship them.
