No, I don't.

And nobody should.

Just because someone has more posts than you doesn't mean that they're better than you.
Sure, I spend most of my time in user groups, and I have a high post count (among many others), but that doesn't mean you should hate me or worship me, or any others.

Odds are, they don't like the worship if they get any, and they especially don't like the hate, because it's not like they asked for the worship that made you hate them so much.

People are so keen to jump on the band wagon and agree with people. Go join a "i dont like homework" or "i like puppies" group on facebook if you want endless agreeing and dislike any topic that may cause friction. At least offer an opinion other than. "No, it's silly, absolute, end"

I dont worship people with high post counts but i respect them. I recognise them on the site and i think that as such their opinions are more widely known. Its always fun to talk to a regular. Also people with a postcount of 4 tend to make the silliest threads and break rules more often. Im just saying someone with a high post count is likely to be well know in the community, make an effort to be part of it and adhear to the rules and guidelines of the site.

I would like to be known around the site, it would be pretty cool to be seen as a regular, i like the escapist community and i make an effort to try and remember the names/avatars of any notable/funny/awesome posters regardless of postcount. Some of these people have high post counts. In fact many of them do. Such is the reason for the community spotlight. To highlight active and loyal members of the escapist. Active and loyal usually means high post count. I think by that connection they are worthy of respect.

Nope but I will scoff at people with like 14 posts telling me how to act

It's like experience ranks in a game - it just shows how much you've played (posted) not how good you are (good your posts are)

Its not the size that matters, but the motion in the ocean.

Its easy to say something about everything, yet for words to be of value you have to do alot more.

According to his profile (before it got deleted), Max was gonna request a ban anyway, so him getting banned was inevitable.

NoMoreSanity, I'd like to see what he got banned for. o_O
Yeah, Max got bored and was going to get himself a ban anyway, but instead went out with a bit of a bang. People sure noticed his ban.
And as for NoMoreSanity, the post he was banned for was basically something along the lines of him calling all females attention seekers, and some other offensive stuff. The straw that broke the camel's back.
Admittedly, by targeting all females like he did, it was a rather large straw compared to most.

I tend to keeping mind the diffrence between the Joined date and the posts, it will define a user either if they are a lurker,post-whore,regular and just a normal user.

I would not worship regular/normal users however I will give "more" respect as on social terms via forums they are considered "veterans" and would have undoubtedly (usually) a greater understanding the types of people that visit these forums and other well known users

Nope. I have neither the time nor the inclination to chime in like an omnipresent force of internet comment generation, so I tend to only surface if I have something meaningful to say, or I happen to be bored and a topic catches my eye for whatever reason; I see no particular reason to revere those who have the abundance of free time that I lack.

I worship myself, but for a totally different reason.

The post count doesn't show how long you've been here, the "Joined: xx xxx xxxx" does.

It's not how much you post, it's WHAT you post.

I don't worship people with high post counts on this site, but I do find myself unintentionally noticing them more often.

No, that would be pathetic.

I also consider celebrity worship to be utterly retarded.
Yeah...I'm going to have to agree with this, and all other posts that are like this.

Uh, no. Posting a lot means you you either enjoy the forum, or you enjoy posting. Neither of which is worthy of praise.

No, but I usually have more respect for a person that's been around for a few years than a brand new guy. If he/she hasn't gotten himself banned throughout his time here I suppose it says something.

Worship is too strong of a word.

I don't even respect those with a high post count on that virtue alone because the individual matters more.

As the saying goes -- quality over quantity.

I see. Would be nice if threads wouldn't 404 all the time. >_>
