Why should I? Somebody can be online whole day just spamming posts and I should respect that kind of idiot? Well no. Content of the posts matter, not plain number.

I really, really hope not.
Seriously, it's just a bloody number. It holds about as much importance to anyone as what I had for dinner last night. Absolutely fuck all.

Sorry but no I don't, I tend to look at them with a curious eye though. As if my mind is asking what the hell are you posting to get that many posts so fast?
I shall answer you sir, to put your mind at ease.
In my case, it's Forum Games and Groups. I spend nearly 95% of my time here in Forums Games and Groups. It's a fun little time killer and that's why my count is what it is today. Sure, most of it is, as someone put it earlier, mindless drivel but it's fun mindless drivel. And that's why I come here in the first place. To have fun.

Else where, I have about 50000 posts Not much of it was spam either.
What's it worth? Nothing really. It may be more of a "I did this for you." than a "I did this for me. Attention!"

No. Post count doesn't play into how much I like a person. It just means that I've likely had more chances to get to know the way they think because I've seen them more often than others.

I don't worship them, but sometimes it's uncomfortable being a new user and posting in a topic full of posts by people who have been here a long time. It's like if you just joined a sports team full of really experienced players. You almost feel like you're intruding.

I rarely look at post count, unless I see a really stupid post and just have to know the person's username and postcount for some reason.
If the content of the post is good, it doesn't matter who it's by.

It's just a damn number.

Simple as that.
Than can you explain to me why there a lot of 10k threads?

I really dont understand it, if I ever reach that number I will never make a thread about it.

I tend to hate people with ultra high post counts because they spend nearly all of their time in user groups, then come into this forum and go "LOOK HOW HIGH MY POST COUNT IS!!! I'M SO FAMOUS IN MY USER GROUP!" Followed with internet high fives from all their friends. They then go run off and the forum proper doesn't see any of them again for another month.

There are exceptions of course, Onyx Oblivion I see posting all the time for instance.

Absolutely not. The determining factor in how much I respect a forum user is the quality of his/her posts, not the quantity. It doesn't matter whether you have 10 posts or 10,000 posts - you still have the potential to be a colossal moron.

Fortunately, at least from what I've seen, the vast majority of high post count users here seem to be alright. I'm certain that other forums have it a lot worse.

I don't even look at post count. Does it make me a heretic? If so, then I am as happy as one can be! The only scenario my eyes would even skim through that fancy row of numbers is when i see a really idiotic post and am wondering if that person been here for a while or is a newcomer looking for trouble.

And i only ever worship myself. You can too. I don't mind. See how generous i am? Allowing you to bask in the warming glow of my divinity? *nods sagely*

No, I normally joke to people who have many posts *coughScde2chough*.

I mostly worship people who have done something for me or that have made me feel better *choughAsturielchough*

ITT: Liars.

OT: Well, they're certainly noticeable. That's about as much as I'll say on the matter.

I have to say, i didn't have any fondness towards people with thousands of posts in the first place - but Maxi has convinced me i should be actively wary of those with high post counts. So no, i am pretty damn far from worshiping them.
I think MaxTheReaper and NoMoreSanity were a bit of a wake up call for people with high post counts, or any post count, as a reminder that no one is above the rules.
So even the higher posters are... 'calmer' now...
According to his profile (before it got deleted), Max was gonna request a ban anyway, so him getting banned was inevitable.

NoMoreSanity, I'd like to see what he got banned for. o_O

post number does not dictate post quality, nor does it dictate general intelligence. For long time lurkers they become pepole you recognize and you come to either value or disvalues their opinions, you know how they post and you know how much backing their posts have.

For example everyone recognizing Fullbert and Lord Cuthbert, and we all know that their posts contain good points and their personalities, we know that they are well thought out points and interesting to read. As their posts we have read go up our respect for them goes up or down, i respect the points of these to as they are usually well presented and thought out, however i do not like Demented Teddy's posts for the same reasons. It's a matter of respect that grows from having pepole recognize you.

Hey... will people worship me if I post a bunch of times? Sweet... all I've gotta do is set up a donation bin and I'll be set for life!
