Search bar approved... somehow.

So after reading the whole EA redwood thing I realized. EA is one of my favorite game companies now. These guys are showing creativity while Activision is pushing out sequel after sequel. I'm scared people. Liking a Faceless corporation is not a good thing but these are the guys who made dead space, bad company, mirrors edge, crysis, spore. While activision releases cod6, gh5 tried to kill brutal legend.

Am I the only one who thinks this giant is actually good now?

EDIT: Looked up... realized I was in the off topic forum. Im a noob apparently

Why did people hate EA in the first place?

They make sports games. Which are the only game genre I have never liked a game from.
That doesn't seem like a valid excuse for all the hatred and bile EA has been the target of.

EA? Don't they make games or something?

I don't bother with companies, I bother with games.

Unless the companies bother me.

It's just a company, and they'd never done anything to earn my ire, especially now that they're publishing Bioware's games.

But I also rather annoyed as of late with their marketing campaign for "Dante's Inferno", but hey, that's they way the cookie crumbles.

They didn't make those games, they hosted them.
Example: DICE (Sweden, woo) made Mirrors Edge.

Anyways, I would be lying if I said I disliked them.
Especially after the rickroll!
They didn't make them but they published them, and likely provided money for the game. Which is what they've been doing a lot lately, I like them.

They seem to give free create reign to the dev's, whilst putting up the money and seem willing to not make as much as they might if its for original games.

Sure they still have that yearly update shit, but that just keeps them funded so they can make way for the good stuff.

I've liked them for a while. Pretty much since Mirror's Edge, a bit before that, actually...

After new franchises like Mirrors edge, Dead Space and Dantes Inferno and the adversing they are using for it
I personally love them
Not as much as Capcom or Bethesda but they are now in my very good part of my heart

Love's a bit strong, I do like them a lot more than I used to though. That said, I did think they were the devil, so it wasn't that hard for them to improve their standing in my eyes. Activision is now obviously the devil.

Well, to be fair the Divine Comedy was already a well known book. That isn't really creative to take a book and make three separate segments of it into a video game. That's more an adaptation, but that's really nothing more than nitpicking. I'm glad they're still trying something new.

And I'm on the fence with the EA love. Personally I respect their ambitious goals into newer territories - for them - of video game genres. While I still find their past douchebaggery still nipping at their heels.

Please no more search bar approved disclaimers.

If its search bar approved, people shouldn't be telling you to use the search bar.

If its search bar approved, and they tell you to use the search bar, that may be loosely defined as trolling.

If it wasn't a stupid topic for a thread, i'd make a post on the subject of how I hate "THIS IS SEARCH BAR APPROVED" disclaimers more than "USE THE SEARCH BAR" posts.
