Gays don't bother me.

I'm probably Bi anyway.

On the other hand, pushy people bother me immensely. I had one guy all over me. He just wouldn't leave me alone, and he was practically begging me to let him.. Uh... Never mind.

In any event, that made me quite uncomfortable. But that had nothing to do with straight/gay. Anyone 'begging' you to do something you're uncomfortable with is going to be a problem...

I could get some flack for this, but I want to start out saying that I'm not homophobic. I'm fine with other people's sexuality, doesn't bother me one way or the other. I just hate when people feel they have to live as a stereotype. For instance, I work with a guy who is a total punk. Ink all over, shaved head, joins the pit, the whole nine yards. But, you place him in a =n environment with other gay people, suddenly his voice gets the lisp, the wrist goes limp, and he starts calling me honey. I've known him for years and it just bugs me that he perpetuates the sterotype that he claims to despise. It's like if a trekkie lives a normal life, but as soon as he is around others he becomes a pimply, sexually devoid dork with no hygiene skills. It's stereotype for god's sake, let it go. Be yourself and I will have way more respect for you. If you're gay and actually are the stereotype, more power to you. If you're not, act like yourself or get the hell out of my way. Ok, begin the floggings now...

No do whatever you want just dont go expecting special privelages, acting like a sterotype or demanding my respect. Aslong as you dont try to interfere with my plans in life or my lifestyle I really dont care.

I don't think that Gay ninjas are trying to interfere with people's lives. I don't understand why people seem to think that.

The problem with people is that they seem to think that gays are all leather clad fems who whine about being gay all the time and demand everyone salute them for it.

Being Lesbian, Gay or bisexual doesn't confine you to living a stereotype. It just means you like the same gender. Does that interfere with your lifestyle? :p

I have nothing against gay, lesbian or bisexual people.
I will admit to feeling uncomfortable around incredibly camp people but most camp people I've met are straight, just very flamboyant

Meh, whatever you do behind closed doors is your business and that's fine....unless you're a necrophiliac. That's just weird.

I don't really care about gay people unless if they are really open about it, and when I say really, I mean REALLY OPEN. I know this gay couple, they are only dating, but, it seems like every time I see them they are all over eachother, I don't have anything against gays, but, it just makes me feel uncomfortable when it's right in front of me.

Exactly why would I care if my friend (or some random dude off the street) didn't care about supermodels of the opposite gender who could ignite concrete? What if being straight was considered against the social norm?

Plenty of straight dudes walk around in assless chaps. Sure, most of them were David Lee Roth...

I never cared in the first place.

In real life I've only ever met a few homophobes and they were massive dicks anyway.

Sadly a lot of people still do.

EDIT: welcome to the escapist.
Exactly and most people will lie about that, to appease the rest of us.

Also I'd like to welcome you too

I'm not as long as i don't have to see you and you don't act like a stereotype. To be honest i'm so coll with it a few friends and me/I joke with it(probably not the politically correct way to say that)

Yeah, about 90% percent of the people I go to school with are homophobes and think it's completely wrong, but 90% percent of the people I go to school with are idiots.

meh... gay guys means more girls for the rest of us...
Gay girls are fine, as long as they let me watch :D

Jokes aside, I have nothing against homosexuals

As long as you keep your sexuality, your religion, your narrow-views, and your drama to yourself, I'm fine. But if you start to push any shit on me, then a line is crossed. That goes for anyone.

But no, I'm not homophobic. If a flamer kept sexually-harassing me, I'd have a problem then, but I really don't care what you do in your own time (murder, rape, hate crimes, et cetera, aside).

The only time I care wether or not a guy is gay is when they say something like "Oh man, nice ass!" and I look.

I do love hitting on a gay friend of mine though. He will turn the deepest red. And everyone else just stops and stares.

As for the original question, yeah people do still care. My brother is one of them. But it's amusing, my family and I will rag on him anytime he ever says anything offensive telling him stuff like, "You know they say people who are homophobic are really just hiding something." or "Come on out of the closet already. We'll still love you!" It really gets him upset. Good times!

The only people that seem to care about homosexuality anymore are old people--who find it 'weird' because it's new to them--and Christian Fundies whose entire religion is based on excluding and villianizing someone, so it might as well be gays!

As long as they aren't bothering me or touching me or doing anything in public. What you do in your own home doesn't bother me at all.

I saw him in concert.

They were half-ass chaps.
