Death doesn't scare me.

Dying before finishing the space elevator does.

It will be my gift to america.

Yeah thats right. Fuck you, Romania.

almost nothing scares me,
except not being able to think anymore...

i dont think ill ever be able to accept that at some point, i wont be able to think, that everything will just stop...

retribution and pain on the other hand, are things i would look forward to...
i actually enjoy quite being in pain, and not that retribution actually exists, but when i go up to pugatory, im either staying there forever... where i can still disobey christianity and molest all the other souls... and where i dont have to live by some pathetically over-strict, age old rulebook that no one in this day and age could possibly live up to... or, straight to hell... for some pain etc.

heaven and hell are very flawed concepts if a man can prefer hell to heaven, but its not like theres even an iota that anything so closely based on how humans think of things, its either good or bad... and the middle ground is there as a temporary measure for those who cant decide, wether they wish to be good... or bad... nothing in existance is that polar. :\

cool, i ranted off-topic... *cough* soooooo yah, im pretty scared of being unconscious, especially if its for eternity.

No, we'r all gonna die. Theres no way around that. But if I'm in a life threatning situation I would do what I could to get out, like any normal person on here :)

I imagine that death is like going to sleep or being unconscious, except you never wake up at the end. So no, no I am not.

Death is inevitable, there is no point in fearing it because there is no way to avoid it. On a slight side-note I would not become immortal if the opportunity arose to me.

One other reason that I do not fear death is that I do believe in something greater after death. I don't subscribe to the beliefs of any organized religion but I do believe in something more.

I have no fear of death, would rather not die painfully though.

Due to my beliefs one of two things will happen either my consciouness/soul/energy/spirit however you would define it will not have the strength to survive without the body and i will dissapate, becoming one with the universe again in such the same way as my body will.
Or if the above mention spirit is concentrated and focussed enough, i will survive without my body, and will eventually either be led ar lead myself over to the spirit world (i prefer the name realm of shadows as that is how i percieve it) and become a guide able to divulge what i know of our time to those who come after me who will be able to cross over while still alive. and if i have complete mastery of my spirit form i will be able to cross back to this realm as needed/if called.

(out of curiousity i wonder if any of the escapists know what i am in a religious sense, only person i know who guessed was a religious studies lecturer who has a strong interest in my religion.)

I do not fear death. But yeah torture. I fear being tortured. Like if some mugger blasted a round through my head, eh what ever. But if he ripped off all my skin and put salt in my wounds...I'd freak out

Death scares everyone because the unknown is scary. Anyone who claims it doesn't will show their true color when it actually draws near, and they aren't safe in their computer chair. Death is certainly unknown, and only the really stupid, brainwashed, or people who are full of themselves would say different.

I am not scared of death. Death comes when it comes. Even if it's early, I have to die sometime and with what I believe, there's a purpose for it.

Before I explain, I dislike saying stuff that gets flamed easily, but for some reason I felt the need to post the reasons.

I believe in eternal life after death, so I am not afraid. Christ died so that we could live for eternity.

Btw, I don't believe in a polar heaven or hell. There's more to it than that. A lot more. (mormon.org)

Death holds no fear, nor power over me.
It is simply the transition into the next stage of the game, where I get to try again.
I only fear for the lives of the ones I love.

I only live for life, and death is an unknown in this life. I can only fear the inevitability of dying, of feeling your life dribble away from your body, knowing you will never exist like this again.

And no, I don't believe in an afterlife in traditional sense. We either cease to exist, or we create our own "afterlife" based on whom we are, and what comforts us the most.

I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of the way I'm gonna die because there are a lot of painful ways to die.

No, not really, I don't fear my own death.

I do fear the death of those I love.
Pretty much this, i'm not neccesarly afraid of death but i im definetly afraid if my best friend/girlfried/family died.

I am a bit scared of pain though, if im to die i want it to be quick and painless, not slow and painfull.
