No it doesn't offend me, the only things that offend me are muslims and gay people.

I should point out I'm joking before you all come round to me house, shit in my letter box and rape my dog lol

Meh, I don't watch it.

I did see the WoW episode, and that one made me laugh so hard!

But I think if I watched anymore than that, the "animation" and voice acting would really get on my nerves.

I know some bits people get offended by like the naked little boys on a leash held by the Priests and the Steve Irwin jokes but I find it hilarious. Every single episode besides all the latest episodes are brilliant, not one I can think of that isn't great.
You didn't like The Ring?
waahh. That one was epic.
Though the others all rocked too.
And that stuff is offensive, but it's TV. If you don't like it, you turn it off.
EDIT: And watch Barney.
Do you have any idea how often I get someone who quotes me but doesn't read my post properly? I haven't watched many of the new episodes, I just watched the Jonas Brother episode and I found to be average.
..I....Did read what you wrote...
You wrote you didn't find the new ones to be brilliant, which implied that you had watched them.
Am I not allowed to quote your post or reply to what you write?
Actually I was talking about the "If you don't like it, you turn it off and watch Barney" bit but I just notcied that was to everyone so nvm.

Which episode is the ring one? Last I saw was the alien space police episode and that was by far the worst I have ever seen!
Glad to have gotten that out of the way. The ring was the awesome one with mickey mouse pwning the Jonas Brothers. Lol. He had a chainsaw at the end.
mmmhhmm, the alien police one was stupid.
But the somalian pirates one is hillarious.

The show's fine in terms of offensiveness. I just think sometimes they go the wrong direction with a parody and sometimes show visuals that are downright nausiating, even if you aren't eating. Seriously, some of the crap joke visuals (IE, when you can see the crap) just annoy me, nevermind the one where they actually showed after-birth. Oh yeah, and that time they used the sounds of oral sex, which sounded more like someone eating a steak. I don't find any of that offensive, I just don't see the point in showing it. Its blue comedy at its worst.

although south park makes fun of things in a way that could offend people, it makes fun of everyone equally. That was the point of cartoon wars, either everything is able to be made fun of, or nothing is. I think that cartoon wars is one of the most important cartoons ever shown on television.

South park's too ridiculous towards everything ever period to be offensive. It's just good fun, really, and good fun that's actually funny (schoolteachers be damned: You need to make fun of someone or something to be funny, or just be absurd).

I was not amused with the way they portrayed Al Gore. Al Gore is a great man who has brought global attention to catastrophic global warming, and those 1/10 wits had the audacity to make him out to be an attention seeking child who runs around with a cape. Funny, but not amusing. -> (I don't want the exact perfect use of words police on me, so if you are a member, I don't care about what you think)
They are amusing people who large numbers of people watch, yet they devout their energy to getting completely off topic when it comes to global warming. No one will give a shit about "smug" in 100 years, especially in the developing world, which will not be able to develop because all their glaciers melted thanks to people wasting electricity watching their shitty television show. They are offensive in bad ways. They're just American rednecks with slightly above average intellect, for the most part. It has been shown that there is no relation between intelligence and humour, none at all, keep that in mind when you watch it. They didn't have a very bad thing on global warming with the lice episode, but with all the insults they level at a couple celebrities, they should have the balls to also level insults at everyone. Absolutely everyone who uses energy, which releases greenhosue gases. But that wouldn't be "cool."
...are you super cereal?
But yeah, I sort of agree. Though they're a bit better than what you just described them as.
They may act as a medium for the most base and immature humor, but it's funny, and if you dig past all the crap you just mentioned, there is some truth and morality in their message.
I think they're really just mocking the sense people get when the buy a hybrid, "I'm saving the environment,
I'm better than you."
Which is bullcrap.
It is bullcrap, the part where you are saving the environment. You're still emittting when you drive a hybrid, and the car needed to be put together with lots of heat, you aren't great at all. If you ran and took the bus everywhere, you would have something to brag about. Also, most pollution comes from inside the house, not outside. That Kyle character was just as dumb as the rest of them when he said that Hybrids might "save the earth." There's no plan to actually cool down the world, if everyone drove hybrids, it would barely make a shit of difference.
True. Hybrids suck (mostly. The Escalade one looks cool, though not really Eco-Friendly.), and Priuses look like eggs.
The thing is, South Park is a COMEDY show, although they do put a lot of opinionated stuff in there, and the real message comes through clear (being a snob 'cause you bought a Prius or turn the lights off when you leave the room is retarded) , it's for Entertainment.
It's funny.
I guess I was just angry that they have so much power and influence, and could really get people to use as little as possible, but choose to talk about "smug." Although I should add that I find them to be quite humourous. Infat, they're pretty friggen funny. Sometimes hilarious.

I don't watch it really, I've seen several bits and peices. I don't find it offensive really, but I think it's retarded. It's some of the laziest humor I've ever seen, that only appeals to easily entertained, and feeble-minded...And yet it's so popular amongst the peoples.

South Park is a refreshing does of unrestrained mocking comedy and social commentary, in the mostly politically correct media.

A Singaporean friend and I, still joke about Japanese people not having souls.

Unless your Jewish then your probally never bashed by South Park and if you have been the butt of a joke and took it personally then thats just hypocritical to say "Oh its funny when its not me(Isaac Hayes/Scientologists)" and come on even the Jewish community took South Park with a grain of salt.

No, it's so funny because its edgy. People who don't see the comedy jump straight to the 'edgy-ness' hidden underneath.
