If I have the opinion the Jews are equal to all other people, and someone else thinks they are sub-human, that's not opinion, I'm right and you're wrong. And I don't care if redneck stereotypes the south of the U.S., I really don't. I said nothing of the sort, and when I said redneck, I meant the people who are completely brainless twits. Also, with most climatoligists in a state of total panic, thinking environmentalists are evil, who want you to stop making it even worse, is incredibly evil. We're looking at nuclear war between India and Pakistan, nuclear war between Northern and Southern Europe, huge strife in China, hundreds of millions of environmental refugees, huge parts of the world made uninhabitable, and the possibility of making earth another lifeless rock, despite the incomprehensible amount of life on earth. But that's just the opinion of the experts, you're completely uninformed mind is entitled to one as well, and if it's butt-fuck wrong, it's equal to one that's right. Why do you take everything and put it into the realm of opinion? Some things are right, some things are wrong. There is an area where anything goes, where things are just a matter of personal preference, but that is limited to ones favourite food and movie. All important things have truth. If you think global warming is caused by the sun getting hotter, you're wrong, because the sun hasn't been getting hotter.

Well boys, it's been done.
We never thought we'd see this day coming, but...it's arrived.
Finally, even /facepalm fails to express what I'm thinking of this person.

I could cut out the majority of your post and your argument would be no more valid.
Stop going off on tangents about the fucking climate.
I'm not here to debate global warming with you.
I'm fully aware of what's going on.

I truly don't understand where you're coming from when you say my opinions of are butt-fuck wrong.
Because I haven't stated any of my opinions on the matter.
Do you know why it is that I haven't?
Because that's not what this thread is about.
So stop trying to back up your feeble argumentative skills with completely irrelevant knowledge.

So now that we've bypassed your "arguments" that do not pertain to this subject...
Let's look at the first few sentances.

Thank you for pointing out that Jews are people.
I appreciate that, seeing as I was so fucking blind to it before.

I stated that other people have opinions and those opinions have the right to be spoken.
The example of opinion you used is different because it preaches hate.
Not believing in Global Warming doesn't preach hate, and it has the right to be represented.

Your arguments would be more sound if you didn't look at the world so close mindedly.
Just look. You acknowledge that saying "American rednecks" stereotypes the south, but you also say that all rednecks are stupid, brainless twits.
So either your syntax is terrible, or you truly do not take the time to read what I say.
[sub]Which, by the way, could really help you learn how to argue.[/sub]

To acknowledge the statement "Why do you take everything and put it in the realm of opinion?"
If you read my post carefully, I only mention opinion at the bottom. For three short sentances.

To sum things up in a few points:
It doesn't matter if you don't care that you're stereotyping southern Americans, and it also doesn't matter that you think you didn't say it. The point is that you did, and that you clearly have a bias against Americans from the south.

We're not here to discuss global warming. I haven't stated any of my opinions on the matter, so you calling my opinions "butt-fuck" wrong is just as irrational as the rest of your post.

Opinions that do not preach hate have the right to be represented.

You're very close minded.

The chili episode has made eating chili difficult for me, besides that not too often.

i dont get how people can find a tv show offensive. they should jusy realise that it is not directed at them and that if other people find it funny, then maybe you should just laugh with them

It irritates me that there are people who watch and love South Park but dont understand that its SATIRICAL, TRIVIAL COMEDY. Just because Cartman is a dick head doesnt mean you can too. I nearly punched someone I was walking by in the face when I heard him refer to someone as a "jewbag". I mean, I find the show funny because it will make fun of people who do certain things, and it will also make fun of the people who make fun of them (The episode where South Park made fun of itself) But for the people who dont get the satirical side of SP, they just aquire all the asshole characteristics that some characters in the show have.

So, this is pretty much the whole "I love Halo but not the fanboys" situation.

I can see why some of the things they do on their show would be offensive...
but I'm not one to think it is. I love it; it's not afraid to say what others wouldn't dare, about topics others wouldn't touch. And they do it from both sides of the fence as well; something other shows don't do.
It's also more subtle than certain other shows - like Family Guy - when it comes to taking the piss, because it does make fun of both sides of the argument.

I actually cannot make my mind up if I find it offensive or not. Some bits do whilst other bits make me have chuckle.

That's a bit much. It IS offensive, regardless of whether or not it offends you or I, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say they opine to some extent. While they don't mean to make someone outraged, they work with shock value consistantly.

And no, it does not mean you are crazy if a joke offends you. That's absurd. A joke can offend. Just because you have built up a desensitized mindset, doesn't mean everyone has. Some people just can't laugh at some things, because some things are just too touchy.
Anyone who is offended at a joke, especially one obviously not meant maliciously, needs to get their head examined. I don't care who you are.

I could see getting up in arms over a joke at someone's expense that was intended to belittle someone. That I can fully understand, though I don't agree, and if people want to do that, that's there business.

South Park's humor is fairly obviously meant to poke fun at what Parker and Stone perceive as stupid. It's fairly obvious they don't mean any harm by it.

I stand by what I said. If you are offended by South Park, or any joke, you need to get your head examined. People getting outraged over harmless fun is a large part of what is wrong with society.
You are calling people who are offended by a joke clinically insane? It isn't "obvious" that they poke fun, because you said it yourself: 'They think it is stupid.' Calling something stupid IS belittling something. It is insulting something. You don't think it was INTENTIONAL that they offend people? They know what they're doing, and they use it to their advantage. Of course it shouldn't be taken seriously, but some people can't laugh at something like AIDS or cancer. If a family member died of it, it isn't as funny to them, and can get angry when people treat it like it isn't anything.

And it's funny that you talk about harmless fun and wrongs in society WHILE YOU INSULT PEOPLE. What's wrong with society is that people lose sight of where the line between a joke and an insult is. While South Park dances about the line, you take a leaping step over it and act like you haven't.

You've been desensitized, so you can't talk for everyone. And you certainly can't act like people are mental because they aren't like you.

1) People should not be offended by words. Period.

2) Your AIDS/cancer example: My father died from colon cancer that migrated to his brain about 4 years ago. On his deathbed, he could not recognize me or my sister and was little more than an empty husk. I'm still not offended over cancer jokes. It's a terrible thing to go through, and I would wish it on anyone. That doesn't mean I'm going to get up in arms when someone cracks a joke.

3) Maybe I have been desensitized. God knows I've dealt with more than my fair share of insults and hatred. It's glaringly obvious when someone is poking fun and when they're being deliberately malicious. Being offended at the first is ludicrous in all situations and getting offended by the second is oftentimes equally foolish.

Words have no more power than what you attribute to them. Stop caring when someone insults you, especially if it's a generic insult that lacks any real malicious intent.

And you're right, I can't talk for everyone. And I don't. That doesn't change the fact that I feel anyone that's offended by mere words needs a reality check. You will never have universal approval, no matter who you are. If you make any decision at any point in your life, someone somewhere will think it's the wrong one, and most of the time will insult you for it.

Getting offended over words, especially harmless jokes, is the height of foolishness.

Edit:

Also, I will insult anyone that disagrees with me, just as I expect the same in return. Just by disagreeing with them, I believe their opinion to be foolish, and as such they must be. It's human nature, from what I've seen.

You know, I learned something today. I learned that people who are easily offended just continue to spread intollerance and hate. Like Kyle's Mom. "OOOOOOOH, Kyle's mom's a *****..."

I only don't watch the episodes with Mr Hanky, but that's not because of offence, it's because I get easily ill from certain things.
