Every kid does something screwy at a young age like that they have been for decades. Little kids (including boys) getting into mommies make up? I think just about every child has been in that boat between the ages of 2-5.

All joking aside, the ad is stupid. I can't help be get the feeling they were trying to get under people's skin and get the J-Crew brand name mentioned for free.

I'm not ignorant enough to think the little boy is going to catch they gay because his toe nails were painted. I think pretty much every little kid did something like that, boy or girl. But J-Crew knew someone would throw a hissy fit.

Claiming that this is some sort of propaganda/conspiracy is crazy! Young boys have been wearing dresses, playing with dolls, and painting their nails for ages. It's nothing new, and it's not harmful in any way. Some people be crazy.
BTW, since it makes my gf happy I let her paint some of my nails sometimes. Does that make me gender confused? Don't think so.
Besides why shouldn't guys wear nail polish or dresses? What's wrong with that? We've already done away with gender roles, sorta, so why not continue along that path? I say that it's time for the male liberation movement to start! Though I am perfectly happy without wearing a dress or makeup..........

No, it's not problematic at all. 'Gender confusion' is just either a refusal to accept the role that society has arbitrarily assigned you based on your chromosomes, or innocent exploration as a result of having a perfectly natural sense of curiosity. Saying there's something wrong with this picture cause the boy's nails are pink is like suggesting that there's a problem with transvestisism. And there isn't, as far as I'm concerned.
