I much prefer cats over dogs, any day.

I honestly couldn't pick one over the other, since I have a dog called Jack (4 year old black German Shepherd) and a cat called Lynx (8 year old long haired tabby mix). and they're both so awesome pets.
Jack is goofy and super friendly and Lynx reminds me of a drunken russian general in the sense that he's often so composed, but will always end up doing something stupid and hilarious.

Why is there a "Hate both" option but not a "Love both" option?
Because really, I don't see the point in picking one. We had cats ourselves and close relatives and friends had dogs. I grew up with both and learned to love both.

And people say they're low-maintenance, hah. I can't wait until we can let our cats outside again, as we've moved to a new home and they have to settle a couple of weeks before they're allowed out. Most definitely cats. I find it easy to both understand them and identify with their behavior (as the curious animals that they are). And they're cute, friendly, and kind, when given the respect that they deserve.
I got assaulted by two dogs when I was younger, so that has mentally scarred me to the present day. I never feel comfortable around them.
