if it's dark, I wouldn't be able to read, and therefore, would push the button if I came across it.
I would not push the button.
It will say don't press because the person who put it there would try to make want to press it, then you do and you will most likely get killed.

If I could leave the room in the next five minutes, I would. If I couldn't that button would be pressed.
The button would be pushed, and depending on the outcome, pushed again.
Outcome being wither I lived or died, can't push the button again when dead.
