I kill any spider I see if it's inside my house, preferably with a long object like a rolled up newspaper, fly swatter, or katana (it was the most convenient thing at the time.) I'm not so squeamish about things like moths, which I'll grab out of the air and squish in my fist. I don't like bugs. I think there is a genetic reason for arachnophobia, since someone mentioned it. Apparently a long-gone ancestor of humans was mortally threatened by the predecessor of today's spiders, making paranoid and cautious (sometimes almost paralytic) behavior around spiders for some of our evolutionary history a favorable but not universal trait. It isn't a big deal anymore, so it's no longer selected for and some people have it while others don't. I only mind large spiders, littler ones I'll still kill though. Yellow jackets are somewhat of an exception, I've even (successfully) encouraged a few to land on my hand for a little while. But spiders? They give me the willies. They oughtn't just as far as rationality, but they do. It has to be something about my lower brain that causes that, and that would be something genetic.

I searched a little and couldn't find a topic like this :3

Anyway, don't you just hate it when you get into the bath, you're relaxing in the warm water... then you look up and on the ceiling there's a huge bug staring straight at you?

Now I'm perfectly fine with bugs, however, when taking a bath Its rather annoying to have them in the bathroom with me, I worry that they decide it's a great idea too see what that human-girl is doing and jump into the bath... and die. I don't really want to be sharing my bath with a dead bug.

A few days ago I was happily having a bath, it was the night before school started... I looked up too see something... coming out of the curtains (on the side furthest away from me). Out walks a spider- and not just any spider, it was bigger than my fist (from what I could tell). I have no fear of spiders, but it was really... annoying, watching it crawl closer and closer to the bath.
In the end I had to get out the bath, pick it up and walk down-stairs in a towel and put it outside the front door (my Mum saw me holding it and screamed so loud it hurt D:..).

In all honesty, it was so big, I didn't think you could get spiders that big in England...

Anyway, don't you just hate it when this happens...? Or, for some reason, do you like it?
I found a giant spider too recently in my room. I think it must be because the cold weather is on its way, they must think 'Fuck it, we're gonna freeze soon, might as well terrify the humans whilst we can'. Long story short, I have to trap the bastard in a empty bin, spent 10 minutes trying to move him without disturbing my sleeping family, and he escaped into the bathroom floorboards. I'm still on edge.

Before my cat ran away a few weeks ago, she would always eat the bugs in our house, usually before we found them, but yeah, now we have no one to eat them xD;;;
