I'm looking forward to Strafe more than anything. The alpha demo was pretty good fun. Sadly won't be done until 2017:

Shadow Warrior 1 remake was fun, so that might be decent. I'm honestly not at all blown away by Doom. I was wary of it from the first reveal when people in the audience were shouting and going crazy over 'meh' kill animations.

Right now I have more fun with Doom mods more than anything that's coming out, specifically Project Brutality.

The best old school hardcore shooter will be Mafia 3 or the next Dues ex game. Bigger maps, better graphics and mass appeal. I cant wait to ferret out all the collectables on the biggest maps of the series. And it will be great to put aside the more boring nonsense and really get into the bones of shootin' n runnin'.

Yeah...no. Medal of Honour, Battlefield, and Call of Duty say hello.
The only decent MOH game was allied assault and that was also average game. series as whole is terrible. COD1 and 2 were only good COD games i agree. dont care about battlefield.

the best WW2 shooter is RTCW. thats count as WW2 even its more of science fiction.

I prefer lone character shooting thousands of enemies, demons, monsters etc then group of squad fighting a war.
I debated whether it was even worth responding to this. Technically, claiming that Medal of Honour is terrible isn't wrong, just a statement of opinion, but I assume that it's an opinion that comes from having played most, if not all of them. But frankly, can't agree. I hold Frontline and Pacific Assault above Allied Assault, and I've never played a MoH game that was below average.

Also, I think calling Wolfenstein a "WWII shooter" is stretching things. As you say, it's more along the lines of science fiction (though I'd say it's more in the supernatural/alternate history spectrums specifically). But while WWII stories, games or otherwise, usually go for historical accuracy, all I can say about Wolfenstein is "Hitler in a mech suit." That's all I have to say from now until the end of time to separate it from WWII games.

And now I'm getting nostalgic. Among Allied Assaults, Pacific Assault, the WWII CoD games, and BF1942, WWII shooters were responsible for some of my favorite shooters of all time!
Oi, where's Frontline ya bastard?! :p
I think at the time I was spending all my time on Allied Assault and overlooked Frontline. I think I also was confused and thought Frontline was just Allied Assault on console. When I eventually became interested, I wasn't able to find the game. When I did find the game, I couldn't find my GameCube...Yeah, that game's gotten really unlucky in terms of me being able to play it.

Bad graphics how? From a technical standpoint, I suppose, yes. But that's the point. It's going for a mid 90's early 3d retro look ala Quake 1. I personally think the art style is great.

In terms of gameplay, it does seem to be going for a Brutal Doom kind of thing, which I'm fine with. As Doom mods are badass:

I'll actually second the graphics issue, but not so much that they look bad. What's jarring to me is how primitive the enemies look, yet how detailed the blood looks.

Also the issue that there doesn't seem to be much enemy variety, but I suppose that could change.

All 3 of them are going to be complete garbage. nuDOOM is just going to be a slow ass halo knock off and shadow warrior 2 is to afraid to be anything remotely fun.

I have no clue what "Inner Chains" is, but I doubt DOOM will take the crown. Shadow Warrior 2 doesn't look particularly great either; the first game was popular because it felt like it did everything it set out to do. It gave you a bunch of fun weapons, a nice set of environments and a story you didn't really need to pay attention to. I didn't expect a sequel. I'd rather have the developers turn to new pastures.

If I had a decent new IP for every time I've said that, or heard someone say that... *sigh*
