Pretty straight forward. Which do you think will be the best gaming experience or which are you most looking forward to?

Since it has been requested that I answer my own question, I guess a slight edge to Skyrim because I like open world RPGs that give me tons of options, but its close. Dragon Age 2 looks to be much better than the first which I found to be boring after a relatively short time. Since I never played The Witcher, I'm not sure yet where to rank it in terms of how much I want it, but the sequel looks to have a ton of potential, but it also could easily not live up to said potential.

Skyrim for me because that's probably going to be more of a landmark game. I am going to get both because they are being released so far apart.

If I had to choose, Skyrim. Unless they suddenly announce "NO CUSTOM SPELLS!"

But the release dates are so far apart, I'll have plenty of time to enjoy both.

Skyrim hands down. I like action RPGs that require heavy involvement, as well as a singular character as opposed to a party.

To me the original Dragon Age was only okay, and I personally was looking forward to a new ES game for 5 Years so Skyrim all the way.

Whichever one is better? I can't really judge between games where the only info I have on them is from developers who have blatently lied about their games in the past.

I'm going to wait to if either of them are any good. I've been disappointed by both companies far too many times to trust them enough to buy a game without at least reading a review of it first.

Dragon Age 2. I preffer my games with some actual story and characters. Also, I find Oblivion to be crap. Granted, what I've seem of Skyrim so far does look promising, so I'll likely be getting it at some point, but Dragon Age 2 is a sure thing.

It's a shame that's not an option, which means your post is pretty much pointless, doesn't it?

I'd choose Dragon Age 2. I find Bioware's RPGs much more interesting than Bethesda's, though I don't know why one needs to be weighed against the other.

Dragon Age 2.
Reasons for Dragon Age 2:
Bioware's track record.
Dragon Age: Origins was, imo, brilliant.
I like the setting.
I prefer story and characterisation how it's done in bioware games to the TES games I've played (Only Morrowind and Oblivion).
I like what they seem to be doing with the animations for DA.
First game (As far as I know) to use a framed narrative.

Reason not to get Skyrim:
I don't enjoy any of the Bethesda game I've ever played.
I didn't like the preceeding TES games. (I assume level scaling is not leaving us in Skyrim?)
I don't like the setting (Not dislike, more like apathy. Which is unusual for me)
I prefer story and characterisation how it's done in bioware games to the TES games I've played (Only Morrowind and Oblivion).
I don't like first person perspective (Applies to very few people but it has an impact on my decision making).
I don't like the combat system that was in previous TEs games.

Reasons not to get Dragon Age 2:
No dialog trees.
Only play as Human.
Other people think that it looks bad (I thought DA:O looked good. Not passable, good.).

Reasons to get Skyrim:
Dual weild Spells.
Custom Classes.
Dialog trees.
Open world + theft of anything not in direct view of an NPC or bolted down (If you have cleptomania but a moral code that prohibits it IRL).

So I'll probably get GOTY for Skyrim or something and play it for about 8 hours and then not play it ever again. More than Fallout 3 got.....

I've given upwards of 500 hours of my life to the Elder Scrolls series, and as much as I like Bioware, I just couldn't bring myself to slog the whole way through Dragon Age. It was a chore. The only question is: "Do I upgrade my computer so I can mod the hell out of Skyrim, or do I just get it on 360 for stability's sake?"

Pretty straight forward. Really want to try both but can't decide which one I should pick up as I will only have time for one due to university and my job occupying the majority of my time.

So, if you could only buy one, which would it be and why?
Same here can only buy one and skyrim is at the top of my list. I will wait for reviews to see if there are bug issues, but otherwise it is my pick.

360, then when you do upgrade your comp you can get a pc copy cheap(er) and get all the bonus content that comes with the PC. That is my way.

I would go with this option if it existed. In this scenario I would go with Dragon Age 2, for two reasons. One, I like lots of story and characters in my RPGs. Two, Skyrim will likely be glitch-tastic when it first comes out so better to wait a while on that one.

I'm going to recommend Dragon Age 2.

I mean, they're obviously two completely different takes on the genre so it really only comes down to whether you prefer 3rd person plot and character-heavy RPGs or first-person free-roaming action games with RPG elements. But personally, I'd choose DA2.

Dragon Age 2. Oblivion was a generic dullfest, and I have no reason to expect otherwise from the next installment.

I agree. I mean I'm probably gonna buy all of them (aren't they coming out at completely different times?), but Witcher 2 is the one I'm most looking forward to out of the fantasy rpgs of the year.

at first i couldnt figure out which game i thought was better, but then i remembered that I'm going to be out in front of gamestop at midnight for Skyrim and that im probably not going to be doing that for DA2.Still a Close matchup though.
