So it would seem the highest percentage of us really like the idea of dragons.

However I just thought of something... Do you think Bethesda will just make plain dragons, nothing special apart from the occasional boss. or... will they take the whole fantasy element another step forward and class every dragon, such as "Ice dragon", "Earth dragon" etc. I personally doubt they will, but you never know.

seems like a good idea but it could get tideous like if you come out of a mine after just killed X amout of goblins with barely any health then bam insta kill by dragon.
or if you just want to do the nirnroot or whatever quest no bullshit and then isntead of a quick run the throgh the forset collecting whatever Bam dragon says fight now Overall i think it's a good idea but if the random dragon encounters could be switched manually like fallout new vegas hardcore mode would be better and hopefully less broken consoles.

not saying that there shouldnt be dragons i like the idea of dragons but random encounters with them.......this aint pokemon

The one thing I didn't like about Oblivion the most was the lack of a variety of enemies, the strongest opponents you faced were all humanoid. Not only do I love the idea of having dragons, I am glad that there will actually be something killable which isn't limited to around the size of a human.

I am also happy that this game will have an unlimited amount of dragons, least this game knows what it's main focus is. Not like Dragon Age where it might as well be called Darkspawn Age due to their being like 2 actual dragons in the whole game.

As much as I love the idea of dragons, doesn't it make the game designers a little lazy?
Dragons don't really need a reason to be bad...they just ARE, so what we just go around killing dragons because they are a menace? Or a pest??
I suppose you could say dragons are evil because well...the rest of Skyrim has been slaughtering them for hundreds of years but it isn't really an intreaging story line.
Don't get me wrong this is going to be an excellent game, I just feel there's a bit of a lack of imagination to why dragons are bad.

Dragons? Why yes, of course I want them.

Now, this game needs only one more thing to be perfect..... Sean Connery
Only if he voices the last dragon.

Before you kill it.
"Stop stabbing me, Junior"

Yes...YES! Sounds good!
Thank you for the Dragonheart reference; it made my day. I do believe I'll watch that, now.
Hah, what do you think my name is from, that for a time was my favorite movie as a kid.

Pity how they treated the sequel.
There was a sequel?

This has been a rhetorical question brought to you by rmb1983© [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/rmb1983].
It was this horrible tv-movie made for syfy or spike, it happened years the future and there were stupid cgi dragons and chinese dragons and way smaller production values and whatnot...it basically had it's way with my childhood memories...I did expect it to get good by the end you know...:(

Still a rhetorical question.

I've chosen to ignore its existence. The mental scarring of watching it may have something to do with it.

Or have I watched it? I don't remember!

I was a bit disspointed about Darkspawn Age aswell.
Spent ages, hopelessly exploring the map for a random Dragon encounter or something. Never Happened..

There were 3 major dragon encounters in that game. High Dragon, Flemmeth and Darkspawn Dragon, but they were all predictable parts of the plot, so I never got that "OMG ITS FUCKING DRAGON OUT OF NOWHERE" feeling that I would expect from a game called 'Dragon Age'.

Random Dragon encounters improves any game by 100% for sure!

Isn't it like... The law?
Seriously, people get thrown in jail for not including dragons in their games.

IT'S THE TRUTH, MAN.

Woops completely forgot about Flemmeth, didn't really think of it is as a dragon encounter because it was just a transformation.

I hope there is some form of dragon hunting, that would probably add some great replay value.

Dragons are never a bad thing.

But...how about they not put zombies in Skyrim. Those things are fucking disgusting. I hate them. Don't want to look at them.
