So, what say ye? Lately my dreaming has been so intense that my girlfriend says that I've been tossing and turning, muttering things, shaking, etc. I know my mind has been all over the place with some creative projects I'm working on and I've been going through some work stress. I tend to dream almost every night. The past few weeks I've been having intense dreams every night though. She says she doesn't dream at all and that I'm a weirdo. :( That much is obvious. What sucks is that at least some part of every dream contains something I've always wanted out of life(excessive bliss, riches, being outrageously mandsome and such). Then I wake up and it's like, "Ahhh...shit."

My dreams are usually quite odd. When I dream, it usually involves looking back on things I did in the past.

Sometimes they're good, and sometimes they're bad.

Always, and sometimes they're really, really inventive. A few times, I've gone to bed trying to think of a setting for a story I'm writing or something like that, and my dream has created these amazing worlds with the characters I've been abysmally trying to embellish going about their actions as I always imagined they would. When I wake up, it's a desperate rush to find paper and get as much down as possible.

The same happens when it comes to horrifically detailed nightmares, which can sometimes result in me feeling real pain.

Damnable subconscious.

I go through phases where I'll dream a lot. Usually, my dreams take place at University and either my girlfriend's being cold or some other man or woman is trying to seduce me. Usually I don't give in, but if I do, it never gets far before I pull away and say it's not right and leave. I find them interesting.

Some involve violence, too. My most recent dream, my parents had a secret lab in the basement. The government found out, so we had to kill all the lab techs. With knives. I woke up with the scholarly thought of, "what the fuck?"

It's kind of weird. Sometimes I dream super-vividly, and remember those dreams for a long time. Sometimes I dream but don't remember it at all when I wake up.

Most of the time, I dream and remember little bits and pieces of it, or hazily remember the whole thing.

Really, I only have vivid dreams when I go to sleep upset. After a fight with my boyfriend, I had the worst nightmare I'd had in ages.

No offense, but your girlfriend is dumb.
Well, she says that sometimes she dreams but it's rare. It's all good. I call her out on her tendency to sleep in a fetal position and steal the covers. That and her cooking is horrib....I mean, umm...

Last night I had a dream where I was breaking into George W. Bush's private yacht with the help of my mom and Nichelle Nichols.

It was pretty weird.

Everybody dreams, weither or not you realize it or not is the question.

OT: I don't remember my dreams often, but when I do they are hit and miss. Usually I take them seriously if I remember them, since they often involve a particular woman.

Funny thing is I'm told I talk in my sleep a lot like one time my brother was going upstairs to go to sleep at 3 am. He heard me murmuring and wondered if I was up he called and apparently I raised my voice to say "Egh nahhh, PRICE OF A CHICKEN eggh naah". I have no recollection of that dream but I wish I did.

Normally I might only remember my dreams once every few months, but the past week I've been remembering at least one every night, very vividly too.

I came so close to becoming lucid last night too! I was just standing there (in my dream) when I suddenly thought to myself "Hold on a minute, I'm dreaming here!". So I started pinching and slapping myself, but I guess my brain tricked me or something because I thought I felt pain...

... And then I woke up. I was dreaming! Damn, I was annoyed by that.
OK, that's coming close to blowing my mind. I think if I become cognizant of the weird shit I've been dreaming about mid-dream...the universe would break or something. Probably not.

I sometimes remember dreams. When I do, they are pretty interesting.

I have very vivid, very violent and mechanical dreams.
For example, last week I had a dream where all the animals in my garden were the size of kittens, wolves, rabbits, cows, everything (not my REAL garden, the dream one) and the tiny wolf took on the tiny rabbit, and riped off its ears and the flesh on its head, and it was still alive, so I picked it up, broke its neck, felt the crack, and gave it to the wolf.

Suppose it makes waking up more interesting :p

I rarely have dreams, and when I do they're either nightmares, or they make no sense whatsoever.

I've had this same dream three times in the past 5 years:
I'm one of those classic green aliens with the oval shaped giant eyes

Only I'm about 7 feet tall, and my skin is transleucent white, so you can see my bones and organs and things, and for some reason I keep having to go in and out of a college... at least it was supposed to be a college, really it looked like a giant, round room full of books/shelves that was really really tall, like a cylinder. And I had to keep climbing up and down ladders to get down, most of which I fell off of, while a horde of garden gnomes threw rubber ducks at me. Once I finally got down, the gnomes hailed me as their king, and made me go fight a gryphon in a swamp, which was somehow still inside the college.

What. The. Fuck.

My dreams are really f**ked up. If you combine Cool World or Roger Rabbit with a 50s scifi thriller, sometimes change my gender, & have Tim Burton Direct it, that's my dreams.

Haha I once dreamt about Yahtzee! I'd just given birth, like you do, and then I lost my baby so my dad was helping me find it. We were on a boat of some kind and then we both got distracted by Yahtzee doing some form of stand up show. I think it was actually a Frankie Boyle/Yahtzee hybrid.

Yep, that's pretty much the sort of thing that happens in my head most nights.

I dream almost every night, and I guess they could be symbolic, because there's a lot of weird shit that goes on, but they're never vivid enough to stay in my mind for any longer than a day.
