Ok so say your power has gone out during the middle of the day, it's warm and sunny outside. The power on your handhelds/laptops have ran out as well so no taking the easy way out.

What do you do if you haven't got access to your electronic devices?

I would read a book in my room, screw going outside!

Often times I put off things that require a trip into town (which is a good 15 minutes away by car), so if I have something there I need to get done, I'll go do it. Otherwise I'll just mill about and hope it doesn't last very long.

Real Life doesn't exist. That's just myth based on our subconscious desires for a busier and more boring life. If Lord Power abandons us, we the universe will end, it's that simple.

Or in other words, I'll probably read a book.

The last power cut my village experienced lasted a good 15 hours and it started at night so I couldn't even read!, I just went to bed >.<

The next morning, my dad rang up the power station (or something?), some idiot had turned it off by accident and didn't even notice!

I go outside put gas in the generator and then start it again. Or I just go to bed because I shut the thing off. Yeah I live off the power grid.

I've had about 4 or five power cuts in the last 8 months so... yeah, I know how to amuse myself.
It's usually in the evening when it's darker, so we just lit some candles and had a chat.
If it was during a sunny day, I'd go for a walk on the canal and feed the ducks.

Pretty much go outside as in a trip to the town/ city centre.
I envy your innocence/will to go outside. I don't dare leave my lair for anything other than when I'm obliged to do so.

The week before the end of our second term, my housemates and friends had moved all of the couches in our house to outside for the days of clear sky. It was awesome, just sitting there with a crate of drink.

If I'm alone, I'll read, but if I'm with friends or family, we'll play cards or board games.

Initiate protocol Foxtrot Echo November!

Since my friends and myself couldn't really do any work without electricity, and didn't really have time to socialise outside of the work we were doing, in the event of power failure we'd meet in the pub and get drunk. Unfortunately it didn't happen that often.

D: Whys that? Personal experience of something bad happening outside or something like Agoraphobia? I don't like staying out for long but I do like to leave the house a few times a day.
