Poll: Escapist Gamer Age Demographic?

So the thread about "When did you become a gamer" got me to wondering what the age demographic for the general gamer demographic is for the Escapist. Am I as old as I feel around here? Is this a place for the Gamer Youth or are we a more aged and mature breed of gamers?

I am 28, and have been gaming since I was 4 years old... good old Amstrad.

When did you get your start in gaming, how old were you? What was your first system? Your first game? How do you feel age comes into play within our shared hobby?

Well, I'm not the oldest person who voted. That's good.
There are a lot of teenagers around here, I am given to understand - between 15 and 18, as far as I can tell.

21 been playing video games since my Dad let me sit down and watch him play Duke Nukem... my mom was pissed. Me and my dad started sneaking play sessions in. I loved it. Only reason i am and always will be a Duke Nukem fan.

29. I started with my grandma's Atari and Pong at my friend's house. Went to the arcade to play Tron, then finally got a Nintendo at age 8 which came with SMB/Duckhunt and was hooked and never looked back.

23. I think I was about 7 or 8 when my best friend let me play Aladdin on her Sega Genesis. I went home and immediately demanded one for Christmas. The rest is history

I'm 23, played my first game when I was six (I think) and it was Super Mario Bros 3. My first system was an NES. My parents actually bought it for my sister, but I was the only one that played it.

That was exactly my thought process, right there.

"Must do to 16, because 16 is important... and after 16 age wise comes 18 that's the next important year."
