I fear it will be meh.
I'm a fan of SG-1, even more so of Atlantis (well, except for the last few episodes), but when I heard that the "target-audience" will be a younger crowd, I immediately feared a new "hip" cast and whatnot.
We'll see how it plays out, but for now my expectations aren't too high.
By the way, the premise reminds me of Sliders, what with the short time-frame and so on.

Continuing the series is going to be good I just cant wait till the mmorpg of stargate comes out.
Agreed, i have heard its like a Isacc Asimov book (don't know which one),
Seasons 3 and 4 of Atlantis were great but i agree that the last few empies of S5 were not very good.

The zombie reality and the "need to beat the replicators and jaffa army in 30 sec" to get to the stargate are awesome.

I shall remain optimistic about this. If the cast and script are solid we might have something here and I also can't wait for the MMO.
I'm hoping it'll be good. I'm not sure how I feel about it being serialized, though. My schedule is never fixed and I always forget to catch up on episodes I've missed, which means that I'm always missing chunks of the plot. The upside is that serialized shows are often more engrossing when I actually get around to watching all of them.
It had a very "Stargate Galactica" feel to it and is definitely darker in premise than the other two, I admit. I'm still on the fence with the whole thing but hopefully the characters will grow on me as the show proceeds.
I'm looking forward to the new series, especially seeing as though Robert Carlyle is supposed to be an A-Morale scientist which is a type of character that i love to watch, im just dubious as to what they can add now as a race of antagonists, we've had the G'ould, the Wraith, i dont know what they're going to do now
