We all know that with the new Hardcore mode, and the upped Difficulty, that Fallout N.V. will provide some amazing moments where you just have to stare at the screen and try your best not to cry in submission. Let's talk about these moments, and tell me. What do you see in this image?

I would also like to share one of MY moments.

My friend was walking to New Vegas by himself, and a shotgun, we heard some grunting and noises like that so I told him something was behind him. He turned around and went into V.A.T.S. targeting a fast approaching Deathclaw, This was the first time he had seen a deathclaw, we both freaked out, he unloaded 2 shots into it, but right after the second shot, he was dead, his head already laying on the floor.

Me and My friend last night managed to make our way past the Deathclaw quarry area all the way to New Vegas at only Level 2. I was clinging to rock faces and clutching my stick of dynamite for dear life. This, for me, was fucking hilarious and scray at the same time. I have to say though, that we did die a lot at the brutal hands of deathclaws many times before we succedeed.

OH, funniest moment would probably be crouching on the lap of a sat-down Powder Ganger member so it looked like I was straddling him. When I finally got up and walked away, perfect timing, he shouted "these kinda things never get old!" Genius.

Or, another stupid moment would have to be killing Doc Mitchell, cutting his head off, chucking the head in the toilet and then drinking from said toilet to heal my wounds. We then proceeded to place a bucket on the body where his head should have been. The town didn't notice when I walked out the house wearing the Doc's clothes...

The game itself, is just very very funny, but the real hilarity comes when you get together with a friend and do stupid shit like this... I do plan on playing through seriously though, when I eventually pick up a copy.

Scariest: Every time the animation pauses and I think it's gonna freeze.

Ugh, my worst moment was the Deathclaw quarry with the Alpha Male and Matron. Seriously, if you think normal Deathclaws are tough those two'll give you a nervous breakdown. They look cool as hell though...

BTW, I'm 20 hours in, level 21, and I haven't even been to New Vegas yet. All the locations I've discovered have been pretty centralized...haven't been far East or West yet. Tons more to do in this game than Fallout 3. Especially vanilla.
holy shit. have you killed everything that moves outside of new vegas? thats pretty high leveled for not doing any of the main quest involving new vegas..

Scariest:
Inside that dark creepy building with ghouls and Nightkin, this place freaked me out to the max I absolutely shit myself. Mostly because I am a wimp though :p

Funniest:
1. Running away from a raider, turning around and seeing him step onto a concealed land mine and fly 50ft into the air :p
2.
Walking into Boomer territory and getting fucked by artillery.
3. Walking into a demolished building, walking over a trip wire be accident, standing there waiting for the inevitable then blowing into 1000 pieces :p

Close Calls:
1. Walking through a house sneaking, walking over a trip wire only to find a shotgun fire off above my head at head height. (this would have killed me as I play on Very Hard + Hardcore difficulty).
2. Trying to save time getting to a certain place by crossing to the wastes, only to soon find myself running for my life from about 10 soldier ants :S never doing that again. My advice: Stick to the roads...

I don't usually make long posts like this but considering the immensity of Fallout: New Vegas I feel as if it is my duty to make long posts about it.

Negative. I've still got 5 or 6 quests to do outside of New Vegas, and several more to be discovered if I was so inclined. Plus I've discovered two more potential companions, both of which have their own chain of quests I could do.

Important to note that I took all three ranks of Swift Learner early, so I'm leveling faster than most typically would as well.
You my friend now get my seal of approval for :)

I have been sticking to the main quest so far (mainly because of the difficulty I play on) and the enemies on this game are tough as nails.

What difficulty are you on? This is a nice achievement you have got yourself.

Some of the answers for the first tests you have to do are weird, I didn't really see anything in all those pics, although on the last one I did manage to see 2 people giving each other high fives :)

Funny moments? The corporate e-mails. Like the ones you see at H&H Tools. Mr. H has a special hat you know. Mr. Fantastic at the Helios 1 Power Plant is also a trip.

Thanks for starting a thread about New Vegas that isn't about how horrible it is! Hopefully people will lay off of it now and aim their flame-throwers at Fable and, Rock Band 3!!

Funniest:
Heading to Nipton, and finding the corpes of "Owen" and "Beru" on the ground next to a burnt-out house. Some of the messages in Vault 34.

Scariest: definitely all of Vault 22. And parts of Vault 34.

I am hoping against hope that they include 'the bridge of death' that was a random encounter from Fallout 2, it was classic.

Normal hardcore. Three main tag skills were melee, explosives, speech.
sweet, thumbs up as well for playing on Hardcore, it's the only way forward and a good challenge. Very Hard Hardcore here. my skills are Guns, Repair, Sneak. But I also have a good follower as well who is much more powerful than me so that helps :p

You should join the Fallout: New Vegas Fans group as well.
