Cider. Proper scrumpy, although the fruity stuff which reminds me of being a 13 year old on WKD is actually pretty nice too. But I'm pretty pretentious when it comes to cider, I'll admit that. I don't like sweet apple ciders and I don't like people saying 'pear cider' when there's a perfectly good word already in existence to describe it - perry. But yeah, I know it makes me sound like a dick.

But ciders usually stronger than beer, so it goes well on a night out. Chilled, it's brilliant on a hot day and it's still pretty good in winter.

My drink of choice is the 'Snakebite' - I'll call it the 'Midland Snakebite' because everywhere else in the UK seems to just uses cider and blackcurrant, which is still bloody nice. But my tipple of choice is cider, lager and blackcurrant all mixed together. 50% cider, 40% lager, 10% blackcurrant cordial. Usually Ribena, cold Scrumpy Jack and warm Carling because mix those three together and you get a suspended sediment that looks like anything from a lava lamp to an alien foetus. As long as the cider is decent and cold, it doesn't seem to matter which lager you use.

I enjoy beer the most. Mostly from drinking with friends at the Boston Pizza watching football or hockey. But whiskey is a nice choice for the winter. Vodka if I'm going to be around women and limit myself to 4 servings.

In the UK I'll happily have a nice local cider, or ANYTHING with amaretto.

In Korea, I'm pretty partial to soju because it's fairly nice, and -vitally- a bottle of the stuff is cheaper than a bottle of water. If I'm feeling a bit more luxurious or fancy, I'll go for a nongju (not sure if that's spelled right), as generally, as long as it's kept stirred up, is gorgeous.

Bud Rules!!!!
I have a sudden urge to find you, and slap you...quit abusing your taste buds and find a decent beer. *shakes head in dissapointment*

OT: I think this says it all:
Holy. Fucking. Shit. That was... beautiful. I believe I have just shed a manly tear today.

Thank you, my friend. Thank you, for showing me... the awesome.

OT: If it wasn't clear, vodka. Because it fucks me up, and it just burns so good.

A real stout with a bit of a bite and a toffee edge to it, really.

Mostly I'm happy with an ale or lager, and I've started drinking Talisker with an icecube recently, whilst out on the piss with friends.

Cider (Rekorderlig is my new favourite), German beer, whiskey. I have been known to drink vodka, but only if there's nothing better around.

Hehe, well I'm glad I could help. I highly recommend anything by Korpikllani...and Red Star vodka if you can find it.

Used to be vodka, but I got absolutely shitfaced a few weeks ago and suddenly couldn't handle the taste of it anymore.
So it might be beer then.

Bulleit Bourbon is my drink of choice.

But Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA is like delicious chocolate milk that gets you buzzed.

Voted for whiskey since I drink bourbons more frequently than other kinds of alcohol - usually with blended Missouri pipe tobacco.

Wine, both red and white (although in general I prefer red).

It's the best drink to have with a meal, it's something you can quietly enjoy, it works in social situations, I find it gets me a "better" kind of drunk, and it's hella classy.
The only "problem" is the range. Get a bad wine and it's really really awful in a way that a bad anything-else isn't, so there are a whole bunch of places you really shouldn't have it. On top of that, you really should find out what regions / types you like. Personally, my favourites are a Spanish Rioja for Red, and a German Zinfandel for white.

Aside from that, I will drink most things. I really hate anything that tastes of aniseed, or heavy ales.

Really? No "wine" option and yet both Whiskey AND Scotch? Don't give me shit about how different they are 'cause they're pretty fucking similar when compared to wine.

Anyway, if you hadn't guessed, it's Wine. I generally prefer Red, specifically Cabernet Sauvignon, but I also like most white and rosé too. It's not me thinking I'm awesome because I'm all sophisticated as well, I like to down that shit. One bottle of wine gets me the right amount of drunk to go out. Not sober enough to get bored easily and not drunk enough to make me look an idiot. I then usually proceed to keep drinking and tip this scale slightly further towards the retarded end of the spectrum.

Dude scotch and whiskey are different. They are made in completely different ways. Kinda like champagne and wine.
And couldn't add a wine option cuz you can only give so many options in the poll
And yet you gave most spirits an option... don't try to pretend you're compromising. I would accept wine and champagne as one obviously because they're similar. But as I said "Don't give me shit about how different they are 'cause they're pretty fucking similar when compared to wine."

Vodka or Cider mostly when i was at uni but my arthritis medication doesn't allow me to drink anymore. I'm not a fan of Lager for beer (i don't consider it beer) but i liked Ale, bitters and stouts.

Look scotch and whiskey are usually considered to be two different things and thus the two options. I just couldn't add wine cuz i got to the end of the list and it didn't strike me.
