Cider. Proper scrumpy, although the fruity stuff which reminds me of being a 13 year old on WKD is actually pretty nice too. But I'm pretty pretentious when it comes to cider, I'll admit that. I don't like sweet apple ciders and I don't like people saying 'pear cider' when there's a perfectly good word already in existence to describe it - perry. But yeah, I know it makes me sound like a dick.
But ciders usually stronger than beer, so it goes well on a night out. Chilled, it's brilliant on a hot day and it's still pretty good in winter.
My drink of choice is the 'Snakebite' - I'll call it the 'Midland Snakebite' because everywhere else in the UK seems to just uses cider and blackcurrant, which is still bloody nice. But my tipple of choice is cider, lager and blackcurrant all mixed together. 50% cider, 40% lager, 10% blackcurrant cordial. Usually Ribena, cold Scrumpy Jack and warm Carling because mix those three together and you get a suspended sediment that looks like anything from a lava lamp to an alien foetus. As long as the cider is decent and cold, it doesn't seem to matter which lager you use.
