Okay, where is... Elite, You know the game that got the first ever perfect scores. Any of the Civ series, Lemmings, Cannon Fodder, Half Life, Sensible Soccer, any of the GOOD GTA games. Not to mention the excellent crop of games that have come out this Millenium.
In spite of my Tekken fandom, I choose Ocarina of Time for reasons that would take far too long to write in full.
This is like how Spider Man 2 is "fresher" than both No Country for Old Men AND Inglourious Basterds, just to name a few. In other words, judging games based entirely on aggregate scores is f**king stupid.

That has got to be the worst top 8 I have ever seen. Ever. With the exception of Ocarina (which if is not number 1 out of thoses I will go on a rampant killing spree) nothing there would I even have in my top 50 and Uncharted is even then the only one that comes close. This yet again proves my statement that GTA IV is the most overrated game of all time.
No fighting game should be anywhere near that list. And honestly I thought Galaxy 2 proved that Nintendo were all out of ideas. What deserves to be there and isn't? Portal, Oblivion, Half-life 2, Banjo-Kazooie, Gears of War, Super Mario 64, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy X and VII, Kingdom Hearts, KOTOR, Deus Ex and Bioshock. I'm not saying that is my top 8 but all those games are deservant of being in anyone's top 8. That top 8 is crap.
Remember that those meta scores can be bias because when you get a bunch of sites that love fighting games, well that will push up the score of Tekkan 3, also just because something gets a high score like that doesn't make it one of the greatest of all time.
The greatest game of all time would have to change a genre and define (at least) a generation, only one game on that list has done that.

I've not really played any of those for much time but I did enjoy running over homeless people in GTA IV so that will have to do.
GTA: San Andreas was a far better game than GTA: IV.
I have no idea why they took half the features out of GTA.
As far as my favorite game of all time goes... it's close between Fallout 2, Grim Fandango and Half Life 2.
