Garrus was the most useful
Wrex was badass
Tali was my fav character but she was useless in combat, died before she could do anything

Wrex.

On the other hand, I very much dislike that racist Ashley.

And ever since she has blown the head of my favorite support character, I greatly enjoy leaving her stranded during the "choice" >:)

Why are there choices other than Wrex?
I had a very Kirk/Bones/Spock dynamic in my party with Wrex, Garrus, and me.
Fully agreed. Suprizingly (or not), my party also consisted of these three.
Good times.

Plus, Garrus represents the race that helped contribute to the construction of the Normandy, and she's just as much of a ***** to him (her?).

And she didn't shoot him then and there, she let them talk for a while (she back-shot Wrex, meaning she must have been behind him the whole time), so she didn't act on soldier's instinct. She thought "His back's turned and they're arguing, good enough time to shoot the dinosaur.".
I think the attitude toward Turians is pretty much solely because of the short war between Turians and humans, in which her grandfather became the only human to surrender a planet to aliens, old grudges die hard. As for the shooting Wrex, every time I got to that part where she shot him he had pulled a gun on Shepard, which is pretty much the go ahead to shoot the guy, especially since he isn't even officially with them since he is a mercenary, and she wasn't the only one standing behind him, if I remember correctly Kaiden and a few of the Salarians were watching too, I may be wrong though.

Hell, you know what, this is probably something that makes Mass Effect great, that we can sit here and dissect characters and so many opposing view points, now that is the mark of a good story!
Well, a German Fire-bombing killed my Grand-aunt (lived in the UK during the war). You don't see me going around cursing the ground Germans walk on. And, since all of those other people were there and she's the only one who saw it as a threat instead of just an argument, she isn't really smelling like roses. And like I said, Wrex had proven to be a valuable member of the team. Muscling him into putting the gun down would have been the better option.

And yes, that is one of the aspects of Mass Effect that makes it awesome. I've only ever dissected Shakespeare's works and a handful of other pieces of media this much; and it's the first Video Game I've done this for.

Well, how people deal with the old grudges is completely reliant on that specific person, so thats a toss up, and while making him put it away is probably the best option, as the video above shows, it was an order from shepard, unless she shoots him in other situations.

Don't remember the cutscene, but I'm fairly sure my Shepard never ordered anyone to shoot Wrex.

She was signaled to.
Not in this version [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0V3I_Fgmyc&feature=related] she wasn't.

Fuck. That never happened when i lost Wrex the first time. I said something different, and she just went bam! And sheperd said something like "What did you do that for?", and she was like "he wasn't going to listen to reason.". This game really does have a hundred possible stories.

Quoted for truth. I've had Wrex in my party almost every game I've played. The only exception will be my last game (where I'll be playing humans only. Good lord, I wish I weren't such an achievement whore.)

I also like Tali and Garrus, but Tali wins out for better backstory. Garrus did have a lot of good lines though.

Well, there are other lines that lead to that where Shepard doesn't signal, and shows it.

Plus, what kind of trained soldier just protecting her peer would shoot a downed "adversary" repeatedly until he stopped moving. She didn't even go for a drop-shot to take him into custody, no she hamstrings him and then probably pulls a Randy Orton on him!

(Pulling a Randy Orton: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Klokn44VpRM] IE, a slow, painful beating/shooting followed up with a head-shot and unnecessary posturing)

Garrus is a master badass.
More so in ME2. You shoot a guy in the head and he just nonchalantly takes his gun back. Plus his armour looked really damn awesome there.

Wrex is my favourite though, but Turians are awesome so Garrus takes second.

She does, as Ninja'd by Amnestic, plus all Shepard does is grunt and make a gesture. She could have interpreted that as "Come over here, we have a problem.", but instead back-shoots him.

Off-Topic (kinda):

Congratulations! You, me, and Amnestic have succeeded in making this the hottest topic on the Forum when I checked last.
