Zelda just turned 25. And by god, hasn't it been a good quarter century? The game burst onto the scene with a directionless sense of adventure and save system, then totally revolutionized adventure games and story in Ocarina of Time, then fully utilized the Wii controls quite well with Twilight Princess, showing developers what could be done with the hardware.
Man, what a great series. The story. Music. Characters. Just...everything. Great games.

SO, in honor of me shouting out like a fanboy, I'd like to ask what's your favorite Zelda game? Or games.

I freaking love Windwaker. The style is timeless, gameplay sold, story quite good and well-told, sense of scale fantastic, and the feeling of adventure is probably the best in the series for me. You have this gigantic ocean that is full of little side-quests and activities, hours of little distractions like the Pictobox and fishing, and an art style that I love. Heck, it's probably one of my favorite games over all.

But that's just me. What's yours?

Twilight Princess was my favorite, by far.
Second is probably Link to The Past, then Wind Waker, then Majora's Mask, then Ocarina.

Ocarina, because it was my first N64 game, and I played it so many times I can't even begin to count.

Windwaker. I liked the style, the songs, the way you could just say endlessly and island hope. its really how I would like to live if I could.

Ocarina of Time, mostly due to Nostalgia's sake. I also prefer the art style from Ocarina and before rather than the new Art style from Majora's Mask to Twilight Princess.

The old games had a more serious feel to them. I liked Twilight Princess because it tried to have that serious feel, but I feel it went a little overboard and forgot to add more game content. It had a large enough world, but little to do in it.

Minish Cap is my favorite. I still haven't completed that game in its entirety...

i was getting increasingly alarmed that MM might not be on the poll

it's the best frickin' game EVER!!! the dungeons are awesomley fun and, just in case you can't be bothered to fight the bosses, you can just go feirce deity on their asses! or chop 'em up with the great fairy sword! but all of that is nothing NOTHING! copared to just mucking about in termina feild as Goron Link or rocketing through the oceans as Zora, i completed that game once, and i never saw reason to start again cos it's just so god damn FUN!!!

Windwaker. It's in my top 10 games of all time as well. I love the cell-shading, the beautiful, colourful environments, the combat system, the sailing and massive open oceans. Ahh, it's a fantastic game

OoT, but it is actually close between that and Majoras Mask. The Time restart mechanic didn't have too many problems, and did give you more options!

I have to give it to Windwaker. It is in my list of the only 3 Zelda games I actually finished. The other two are a combined set of Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons for the gameboy color, not counting pokemon, those two are number 1 on my list for most time played for a set/series of games. There are some of the best handheld gaming experiences out there, made all the better by when you beat one, you enter in a code you get and continue the story in the next game. If you don't play both together, you don't get the whole story.

Just curious, did you ever get to play Oracle of Seasons? Because you don't get the whole story and experience unless you play one and continue on in the other by way of the code. If you didn't get to, I highly recommend it.

The fact that Link to the Past only has one vote right now (being me) makes me very sad.

My is Ocarina of Time although I play the Gamecube version (the one that came along with Wind Waker). While I did enjoy playing Wind Waker a lot but I was taken in by Ocarina of Time world a lot more.

Wind Waker no doubt. It's my favorite game, and I love it. I don't even like the other games in the series.
