Zelda just turned 25. And by god, hasn't it been a good quarter century? The game burst onto the scene with a directionless sense of adventure and save system, then totally revolutionized adventure games and story in Ocarina of Time, then fully utilized the Wii controls quite well with Twilight Princess, showing developers what could be done with the hardware.
Man, what a great series. The story. Music. Characters. Just...everything. Great games.
SO, in honor of me shouting out like a fanboy, I'd like to ask what's your favorite Zelda game? Or games.
I freaking love Windwaker. The style is timeless, gameplay sold, story quite good and well-told, sense of scale fantastic, and the feeling of adventure is probably the best in the series for me. You have this gigantic ocean that is full of little side-quests and activities, hours of little distractions like the Pictobox and fishing, and an art style that I love. Heck, it's probably one of my favorite games over all.
But that's just me. What's yours?
