I love all of the ghost pokemon (Sableye is the best) so my favourite types is probably ghost. I don't particularly like any of the bug types that much... except for Spinarak and Ariados.

My favourite type has to be steel. Metagross, Scizor, Magnezone, Heatran, Jirachi, Skarmory.

I also love Yanmega for some weird reason, given that bug and normal are my 2 least favourite types.
Because yanmega isn't scared to show the gory details of what a real bug looks like. Shock! Horror! it has 6 legs! In otherwords, it's a REAL bug.

Favorite is either Fire or Ice, I can't decide which.

Least favorite is easily poison. Poison sucks.

I've only played the original Red (not for any stupid reason like "the others were too mainstream" or anything, just because I felt like playing a game that I knew was so important to the gaming world) and I like my Charizard best so Fire type I guess, and I think I like "flying" if thats one, and I dislike rock because theyre so difficult to beat :)

My favourite types have to be psychic and fire. I am partial to a good water type too. Least favourite is dark type. I don't know why, I think it's because they are strong against psychic :D I am not a fan of grass type either, because of their weaknesses and my first exposure to a grass type was Bulbasaur and I don't really like him or his evolutions.

Water. Most water pokemon don't have to deal with the kind of nonsense of having an extra pokemon type that screws them over (like the grass/poison) combo. Except tentacool, but that's okay, cause tentacool sucks anyway.

Tentacool is the friggin zubat of the sea.

Do you mean sableye is the best or it's your favourite? Because i trained a sableye in pokemon saphire long ago, not knowing it couldn't evolve. I felt robbed.

6 legs, 4 wings, and badass jaws.
Also an awesome ability, stats, and movepool, but who cares about those?

Tentacruel is brilliant. Here's some technical stuff. As in base stats:

HP:80
Attack:70
defense:65
special attack:80
special defense:120
speed:100

I daresay that is very good. Adds up to a total of 515. It also only has 3 weaknesses, ground, psychic and electric, and 7 resistances.

I have mixed opinions on all the types. I don't really have a favorite or least favorite:

Grass - Good for dealing with water, rock, & ground. Plus there are a lot of cool grass combinations
Poison - I just like the poison status effect that comes from these guys mostly. Plus they have some good walls in this group. Alas, steels are their Achilles Heel.
Bug - Heracross... nuff said.
Fire - So many good Fire Pokemon. But in a group with something as cool as charizard... you have slugma. It's annoying.
Water - I only dislike this group because there are SO MANY WATER POKEMON! I guess it makes sense since 2/3's of the world is water as well as more than 1/2 of the human body. But it still pisses me off.
Ice - Actually, quite the underrated group. Lots of good ice types. They just don't do defense well.
Normal - What exactly constitutes normal? Is this just the group that doesn't fit in anything so they're "Normal". Seems like a rather arbitrary organization technique.
Dragon - Great type let down by the fact that one Ice-Beam deals 4x damage to just about all of them prior to generation 4. What the fuck is up with that!?
Flying - Overrused type, but not to annoyance. Normal/Flying is boring, but mix it with any other type and we can get some cool pokemon out of the mix. Tropius is probably one of my favorites in that regard. :D
Electric - One of my favs because pure electric only has ONE weakness. The least of all the types.
Fighting - Like Fire, a lot of good Pokemon here and like Grass, lots of interesting combos. Lots of fun to use.
Rock / Ground - They feel the same to me and these groups, honestly, are the least interesting. Some good Pokemon here, sure. But the vast majority are forgettable (to me anyway).
Psychic - Overpowered in Generation 1. Even afterward, they're still one of the most formidable types in the game.
Ghost - I like ghost Pokemon as a concept... but where the fuck do they come from? Are they dead Pokemon in the form of a ghost pokemon or are they their own being. They just don't make sense.
Dark - I think Dark types and the Dark-type-moves are horribly misrepresented. (more the latter than the former). I can't think of a lot of good Dark-type-moves. It's gotten better in Generations 4 & 5, but still.
Steel - Just fun as a wall. So easy to defend with these guys. They just slow the game down ALOT

Hm... after careful consideration... I've determined I can't make up my mind. So many good choices.

My favourite type is Normal, even though my favourite Pokémon (Raichu) is Electric. The Normal type tends to be easy to raise, but can also be real tanks when you need 'em to be. I once took down Lance using only a Level 60 Tauros (and lets not forget Whitney's Miltank :D).

Steel.. Yes I'm talking about AGGRON!! He's awesome.

And a standard pokemon I try to get each time, Wobbuffet.
Yeah, Pretty damn cool. And wobuffet? well, it's generally considered an Uber (too good for competitive play)

personally, Dark type is my favourite. Mostly due to umbreon. This is closely followed by scyther, because; well:

A normal type is a pokemon that cannot be associated with a particular element. One that can control many of them but specialise in none. In terms of attacking, think of tri attack, it's a good example of what a normal type is, everthing, but the nature of the attack is meaningless when all are used at once, thus, its type is normal. Because you can't say, for sure. That's just how i think about it.

The only time through the entirety of HG that my feraligatr ever got KO'd.

Damn you, attract, flinch, rollout combo.
And its a tank, with a self-heal.

Seriously an all-normal team is seeming increasingly tempting.
