Water. Most water pokemon don't have to deal with the kind of nonsense of having an extra pokemon type that screws them over (like the grass/poison) combo. Except tentacool, but that's okay, cause tentacool sucks anyway.

Tentacool is the friggin zubat of the sea.
Tentacruel is brilliant. Here's some technical stuff. As in base stats:

HP:80
Attack:70
defense:65
special attack:80
special defense:120
speed:100

I daresay that is very good. Adds up to a total of 515. It also only has 3 weaknesses, ground, psychic and electric, and 7 resistances.
any type that has a weakness to ground makes for an easy target with earthquake >:D
Earthquake? That and Flamethrower 1-hit my ENTIRE team once. Damn you, Rhyperior.
Lol I had to look up what a Rhyperior was. Damn kids and their fancy NEW pokemon.

A normal type is a pokemon that cannot be associated with a particular element. One that can control many of them but specialise in none. In terms of attacking, think of tri attack, it's a good example of what a normal type is, everthing, but the nature of the attack is meaningless when all are used at once, thus, its type is normal. Because you can't say, for sure. That's just how i think about it.
True, but that doesn't change my mind on the issue that Normals can be somewhat unimpressive overall. That isn't to say they are awful. Much like electric types, they only have one true weakness (fighting). They also are immune to one type (ghosts). The critical flaw, however, is that they don't deal the impressive damage the other types do as they have no advantage to anyone. Good, but not great.

Steel.. Yes I'm talking about AGGRON!! He's awesome.

And a standard pokemon I try to get each time, Wobbuffet.
Yeah, Pretty damn cool. And wobuffet? well, it's generally considered an Uber (too good for competitive play)

personally, Dark type is my favourite. Mostly due to umbreon. This is closely followed by scyther, because; well:
I thought the aggron poster would appear somewhere!
But why does everyone like umbreon? Why a pokemon that is so colourless, depressing and emotionless so popular? It must be just me, but i don't find that kind of thing cool at all. I like colourful pokemon like flygon, ninetales and metagross. I like ons that have a positive nature about them and, a smile. Or at least a slight grin. Metagross is badass and i'm pretty sure that's why it's smiling. Ninetales is smiling because it beleives it's better than you (and it is) and flygon is....well...he doesn't really smile. In fact..wait a second...i checked. he's happy, too. Sorry about the rant. I don't think your opinion is wrong. It's just me.

You wont be able to add every type. I think the limit is something like 8 or 9 spots. Just so you know, with the poll.

Anyway, my favorite type is water, cause some of the best pokemon I've had were water types and my favorite pokemon (Vaporeon) is a water type.

As for least favoirte... Id ont think I have one. Every type has its pros and cons. So I'd have to go with the one I use the least (including moves) and thats bugs, cause beides from a few pokemon, Bug types on the whole have rather weak stats and poor movepools, as well as bad weaknesses.

I was just giving a definition of what a normal type is, not arguing whether they are good or bad. I don't judge types because of raw performance, i judge types because i think they have cool pokemon. I like bugs, because i like bugs.

I'll admit that Bugs have a solid line-up of Pokemon. Heracross is definitely a fav of mine. Pinsir, Scyther, and Scizor too. You seen Genesect yet? Looks pretty sweet. Good call for the first legendary Bug-type.

Psychic is the answer to all my problems.

Also Normal types suck.

This is all my opinion, of course.

Well, actually I do rather like Ninetales. And both Metagross and flygon are in my top 10... But as for umbreon? Well I really like the fact that it has only 2 weaknessess and DESTROYS a couple of the types usually associated with my death. It has some brilliant uses in competitive play and playing through Gold with it as my main Poke was the most fun I've had in any Pokemon game. Also, It looks pretty damn cool imo.

But maybe I am just a generally depressing person?

Well, my second favourite is Weaville.
EDIT: and the Aggron poster was clearly needed, I was surprised it hadn't been posted already.

Yup i've seen it. Did you hear it has seperate ammo clips to change the type of it's signature move? It can be normal/water/electric/fire/ice. And bugs needed a legendary. They just wouldn't stop getting more awesome.

I was gonna post the aggron poster but i decided to leave it to my fellow escapists. I like weavile, it's smiling. I ran into a shiny sneasel, it was all pink with yellow feathers, quite pleased, i was. It removed the depressing black colour, too. I named it claudette. Hohohoho. It was female, fortunately. So the pink was nice.

And also, umbreon is a rather good defensive tank. Curse,curse,curse,curse,curse.....

I'm pretty sure i said that, but okay!
Vaporeon is nice. And i can't deny anything about bugs. They can be pretty bad most of the time.

My favorite would have to be fire because they are just awesome, especially Growlithe and Arcanine. Dark pokemon have been peaking my interest as of late, they have some pretty sweet moves.

Least favorite? That's a toss up between grass and normal, I almost never use them and they have so many weaknesses it's annoying, and they are a pain in the ass to train.

Ghost pokemon are the fav.
Poison pokemon are probably my least favorite (and never liked that most Ghost have poison type on them), just because the type just seem to get tacked on to give weakness to otherwise strong pokemon.
