Im meaning all genres of metal from supposed "Scream Metal" to something my friend had on his ipod called "Fuck u and ur stupid albums go kill ur self **** love tim"

And if you are going to post on the thread i want that to be for answering the question NOT to complain about my poll making skills or something else like that

I like screamo, but not when its like crazy screaming.

The screaming has to be alongside good singing.

Priest. Judas Priest.

They are the metal Alpha and Omega, and don't you dare forget it.

Honerable mention goes to Dragonforce, simply by virture of performing 'Through the Fire and the Flames' without dropping dead on the spot.

I will never have a favourite metal band but i've been realy into Dethklok lately so i'll go with them.

Heres one of there songs, I like this song because the drummer sings.

BTW why does'nt poll have deathmetal?

First off, extremely misleading title. Seriously. "Favourite Heavy Metal Sub-Genre" would be much more appropriate. And there isn't many choices. In fact, there's Thrash Metal. How about Power Metal, Black, Death, Metalcore, Industrial, Doom, New Wave Death, Symphonic, Neoclassical, Avantgarde, Alternative, Melodic, Progressive, Technical? There are others, plus the combinations of those, like Melodic Death Metal. And, of course, New Wave Of British Heavy Metal.

Don't like metal.

Nor Deathmetal.

Grindcore is better than most sub-genres of metal.

The conspicuous absence of Folk/Symphonic/Power/Etc has rendered me unable to partake in your poll good sir. Anyways the stuff I really like generally incorporates aspects of two or more sub-genres of metal, so it would still fall under 'other' even if you had the correct options available.

Progressive Metal is the sub-genre I like the most out of the options you provided though.

huh, I don't seem to see any Folk Metal in this thread, thus, it is invalidated.

Mastodon. 4 elemental themed albums of pure awesome over the last decade or so plus some killer live performances means these guys have taken a slight lead in my list of favorites. Right behind them are Tool, Dream Theater, High on Fire, Clutch, Metallica, Megadeth, and then Buckethead.
