I can't see this working. The few Oldscapists I still talk to on a regular basis are very,very far gone. I can't see The Infinite or Tears of Blood posting here anymore. But I applaud the efforts! The olden days were pure glory, and many great people were around! But you forgot to mention the people who changed their names and were immediately forgotten!

Anybody remember the time Something Awful failed at laughing at the site? I remember the only real thing they could only make jokes about was people talking about losing faith in humanity jokingly and one of Neutral Drow's reviews. I was very displeased about the latter.

Holy shit, I'm part of the Oldguard now? When the hell did that happen? Seems like just yesterday when Zynga were winning and there was indeed Mayhem. Those were dark days, but we came through.

It's fun to see all these old names, from back in the day when there were few enough users that I could recognise most names in a topic. I shall do as I always do. Mostly watch, maybe participate occasionally.

Well the greyjoys have a lot to be happy about, minus Reek and his sister and their uncle who just bitches and acts badass. The starks are suffering from a severe case of death, thankfully two of the cooler kids are alive. One of them's obviously not staying dead.

Stannis isn't an arse so much as he isn't as badass as he seems.

Don't you ever change. Hell, I'm half inclined to resurrect my birds avatar (Pixar's For the Birds), but I doubt anyone remembers it.

Out of curiosity, I actually did a quick skim of the forum register dates of the posters in this thread. Only three people from 2007 and roughly a dozen from 2008 before myself? My oh my, how time marches on... And I'm pleased to say that I recognize (almost) every single one of you.

Well yeah but shut up. And personally I think it's gonna be a 3 book job, I just hope he doesn't die, partially because he said on his death he wants all his notes on the story burned...The bastard.

Say what you will about the olden days, one thing is for sure: The people back then were awesome. These days I run into asshats every time I leave the FG and groups, while back then it was really, really rare.
