Yea okay... if its true that they had a consensual relationship for six months then I don't think she should be charged for the sex. However, she should be charged for giving the child alcohol underage, as well as underage purchasing and possession as the legal age is 21. The age for children having sex is alot younger this day in age than it was 10 or 20 years ago. Hell i had sex when I was 14, I don't regret it either, and I know that the majority of my classmates at that age were sexually active (perhaps still virgins but active nonetheless)
Even if the genders were reversed my answer would be the same, if consensual (and they need to be able to prove it, even a private confession from the 14-year old away from all their family to try and ensure complete honesty) then screw the statutory rape charges, but the substance abuse charged should be kept.
Did that all even make sense to anyone?
