Yea with all this talk about remakes and exclusive titles..you know what. come to think of it, I'd really like to get my hands on the original and just sit down and play through it again.

Funnily enough, thats what made me start this thread.

To be honest, 8 was a bit dreary. It was the final fantasy wearing the serious face, sat in the corner cutting it's wrists and growing a silly fringe. Still brilliant, but a bit depressing.

I'd say they were on par in terms of seriousness all the way. IX however was just plain silly from start to end. and i loved it all. e.g., why would your most trusted guards be jesters?

I only want VII remade for selfish reasons. I never got to play it when it came out so I've been looking for a copy where I can. EBay is stupidly expensive and the only guy who said he would sell his copy won't budge from 70 bucks.

Sorry but your wrong (in a sense), the PS3 version of "FFXIII" is going to be completely different to the 360 version, as well as "FF vs. XIII" being a PS3 exclusive.

Though i sympathise with 360 owners, because its impossible to play the FF game to the way it was intended (unless you get it like this "to enter the shop, please enter disc 17").

You can't have the best of both worlds, you have Halo, we have Killzone, you have Gears of War, we have Final Fantasy.

You are a very bitter individual. Don't sweat it. Square's doing it for the money and will probably continue to do it for the money. I had Playstation systems up until the PS3. I played both the 360 and the PS3 as I had friends who owned both. I preferred the 360. While the graphics aren't as good and we don't have you precious Blu-Ray, I'm sure it would do fine.

To many people Red Ring on the 360, PS3 hasn't ever broke on me, it is designed to last the course of years, 360 however breaks as much as a glass tennis racket, and Microsoft profit from the fact there console breaks, because YOU have to pay for it.

I've had the PS3 since it came out, and i can tell you that when it was first out, it was terrible, 3 games, bad emulator etc. so yeah it was faulty, but here is where i put a hole in your argument, i have both consoles, you do not, i have been gaming for about 15 years, i doubt you have, so tell me, do you have the foundation to argue above someone with my experience?

Square in it for the money? Ha, and you say you want FFVII? Square is just like Sony, it makes quailty products, why do you think the 360 is looked down upon in japan? because they know how bad it is as well.

You know what, i don't feel the need to argue with anyone, i know that Sony and Square make great products, and that Micro thinks more about its wallet then its own quality.

It is really hard to get cheap. I personally have a near mint version of the original and first batch to arrive in europe, but it is hard to find a reasonable priced copy of either VIII or IX aswell.

What are you talking about? Suddenly 360 can't handle a game that a PS1 can? I knew a lot of PS owners are snobby because they hava blu ray. You do know xbox still has great graphics. FF7 would still fit on one disc. It's an RPG with turn based battle. How exactly could it not handle that? Awesome? I'm fairly certain that isn't quantifiable and can't be translated into Mbs. But y'know. Mass Effect. An RPG with more complex fighting, levelling and customisation. It looks superb. It is a truly awesome game. So yeah, you're provably wrong.

Well what year was FFVII relesed, then look at Mass Effects relese, big difference, so how come FFVII is about 5-50 times more famous then Mass Effect?

I quite enjoyed Mass Effect. Not as epic as final Fantasy but a decent Action RPG.

I say that if there was a FF VII re-make, they should do it on both 360 and PS3, since that is where the biggest market for it would be. Most people who liked the original now own either or both consoles, plus they've been whineing about it ever since they showed off that tech demo a few years back, you know the one. Also, it should be on both, since FF XIII is coming to both, just as Versus XIII should be on both.

... You're actually asking why a game that was out so much longer is more famous?... Wow you are simple. Could it have something to do with the fact that it's had like ten years to develop a fanbase? And my comment had nothing to do with fame, I was explaining why a 360 could handle FFVII. You are aware that fame doesn't require memory on the disc right? I don't see how a game being famous means it won't run on a particular console.

Yeah, I play FPS games. I also play fighting games, RPG's, survival horror and any other games that look interesting. I wasn't aware I was only aloowed to play one genre.

You do know you actually destroyed none of my arguments right. None of what you said explains why FFVII wouldn't run on a 360.

Yes, in fact it did if they remade FFVII it would be made to perfection (unless they want to ruin one of the top 3 game franchises ever) ergo it would have graphics, movie standard, CQI made from Zeus himself, gameplay so good your eyes will bleed etc. so therefore PS3 is the only thing that can handle it, i was being very vayge with my first statment and very fanboyish, but the point stands, 360 isn't worth it, FFVII came out on originally on the PS1 and so PS deserve the right to keep it that way.

Simply put, can you put the data they are putting into them games onto the 360? also by doing that, you lose many loyal fans, if they put FFVII on the 360, i wouldn't buy it, to prove a point and one person like me means nothing, but i still hold by reason

*facepalm* Why do we have to have Spirultima on our team, yes final fantasy was a bowlfull of awesome and if a remake was made, it too would be a bowlfull of awesome. This in no ways means it should stay on the PS3, if you truely enjoyed FFVII you would want as many people to play and enjoy the experience to understand why you like it. Shove it on the 360 hell, even stick it on the Wii if they promise to LEAVE MOTION SENSING OUT OF IT!!

Well, they are porting FF XIII, as I've already mentioned. The point is not that you'd HAVE to buy both versions, It would be a choice between the two. And it's interesting that you mention loyalty, since as I remeber, Square has ran from Nintendo to sony after the first 6 were released on Nintendo platforms. After another six, they are going to Microsoft. Maybee after 6 more there will be another shift?

I say the PS3, cause it would make FFVII look so good with epic graphics, and the only reason to make a remake is that, to make it look revolutionary good in comparison to other games, cause then it would have the good story, the big horde of fans, and graphics that gamers will drool over until they realize they're knees are under water. If it will be made, it will probably take a while. The developers said they want to, but they don't have time for it at the moment, because of Square Enix's big titles being developed, like FFXIII or Kingdom Hearts 3 (which I actually look forward to playing).
