I've gotta say, i'd rather see it as a ps3 exclusive. With all that extra room there's just so much more they could do with it. Let's face it. There are some games that get held back. I know i sound like a fan boy (I try not to, but it slips through sometimes >_<), but if they made it ps3 and 360, the 360 would just drag the game down to its dvd resticted level.

EDIT: I dont think it's even worth mentioning the Wii in this topic....

Sorry but your wrong (in a sense), the PS3 version of "FFXIII" is going to be completely different to the 360 version, as well as "FF vs. XIII" being a PS3 exclusive.

Though i sympathise with 360 owners, because its impossible to play the FF game to the way it was intended (unless you get it like this "to enter the shop, please enter disc 17").

You can't have the best of both worlds, you have Halo, we have Killzone, you have Gears of War, we have Final Fantasy.

You are a very bitter individual. Don't sweat it. Square's doing it for the money and will probably continue to do it for the money. I had Playstation systems up until the PS3. I played both the 360 and the PS3 as I had friends who owned both. I preferred the 360. While the graphics aren't as good and we don't have you precious Blu-Ray, I'm sure it would do fine.

To many people Red Ring on the 360, PS3 hasn't ever broke on me, it is designed to last the course of years, 360 however breaks as much as a glass tennis racket, and Microsoft profit from the fact there console breaks, because YOU have to pay for it.

I've had the PS3 since it came out, and i can tell you that when it was first out, it was terrible, 3 games, bad emulator etc. so yeah it was faulty, but here is where i put a hole in your argument, i have both consoles, you do not, i have been gaming for about 15 years, i doubt you have, so tell me, do you have the foundation to argue above someone with my experience?

Square in it for the money? Ha, and you say you want FFVII? Square is just like Sony, it makes quailty products, why do you think the 360 is looked down upon in japan? because they know how bad it is as well.

You know what, i don't feel the need to argue with anyone, i know that Sony and Square make great products, and that Micro thinks more about its wallet then its own quality.

Wait what???? I've never paid a penny and my xbox has been repaired twice. Unless you count the cost of calling them. Yeah those penny pinching bastards. Oh and I love that arguement, I have both consoles and have been playing for longer than you so up yours essentially. Also can you prove this the 360 is bad so the japansese don't like it?

All these people who're saying they'd like it remade in sparklingly new, top of the line graphics, like seen in the Tech demo, have a point, it would be nice, but I would personally rather see it remade in a more Kingdom Hearts/Dirge of Cerberus graphical style.

I'm just not up for seeing it in enriched TOTALLY REALISTIC graphics, it just seems like an excessive move in my opinion.

Console exclusives and the wanting of them is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard of.

It only hurts two groups of people: the developers and the consumers (and the consumers are hurt more than the developers.)

The ONLY reason FFXIII vs. is coming out, is because Sony threatened to sue Square for breach of contract when they decided to port FFXIII over to the 360. That means it's probably going to be FFXIII with a few added features, maybe an added in half developed character and a quest or two.

But maybe, just MAYBE if Square would make a good FF game (they've all been garbage for one reason or another since VII) people would buy a console just to play the game.

Reasons for dislike of recent FF games since people will probably freak out:
VIII- Squall, everything about squall made me want to find the guy who came up with him and beat him to death with the flat of a gunblade.
IX- The game was way WAY too cutesy. And why make the game about a bunch of bloody 9 year olds other than it was FFIX?
X- RPG's should NEVER be that linear. That and Tidus was a punk.
X2- It was a fan service game, I like to call it Pretty Princess Dressup.
XII- The battle system and the story were both atrocious.

And the biggest problem I've had with them since VII: they keep getting shorter and shorter every game (though XII was an improvement on X2.)

Well if Squares smart they will make it for both the Xbox and Playstation. I'm not sure about the Wii tho..

also by doing that, you lose many loyal fans, if they put FFVII on the 360, i wouldn't buy it, to prove a point and one person like me means nothing, but i still hold by reason

See, definitely a fanboy. You actually wouldn't buy a remake of a game you clearly love just because someone else can play it. Do you realise how childish that is?

I think he's just upset because the only people to play games with on psn are foreign and he can't understand the names they are calling him after they kill him for the umpteenth time.
Remember boys and girls, console exclusives are BAD and Sony plays poorly with others (the console isn't crap, and if they'd put more than 2 or 3 games on it that I would enjoy playing I might actually get one. I just hate Sony itself.)

Sorry but I gotta disagree exclusives make console, normally by utilizing the consoles strengths to create an impressive game. Without exclusives consoles would be nothing more than a computer with a variety of different of specifications.

How much profit does Sqeenix stand to make from a FFVII remake?

This seems pretty damned obvious to me. FFXIII strikes me as yet another attempt at making the FFVII duck lay another golden egg. IIRC FFVII was what made the franchise take of in America. I'm sure there are just as many fans of it in Japan.

Simply put: Squeenix stands to make more money than God by releasing it as a PS3 exclusive. This single game might have enough clout to turn around the PS3s plummeting sales.

I'd love a remake of it or a remake of 6 for 360, if it's on the PS3 thats fine to
