I smoke cheap-ass cigars and weed. As far as alcohol goes... I'm not a huge fan, but when I do drink, I just take what I can get.
Actually, Balvenie Doublewood is my preferred, but most bars don't have it. Glenlivet, on the other hand, is always there.Apone post=18.70094.685382 said:*looks at bottle of Glenlivet on desk and grins*mshcherbatskaya post=18.70094.680540 said:Fine cigars and alcohol? I'm with you mate. Fine single malt scotch FTW.
hmmm i appreciate you holding out until you get cubans... but even some times settling for lesser cigars can be an 'okay' substitute.howard_hughes post=18.70094.685699 said:I only smoke Cubans so I haven't smoked in a while.
Yeah i'm a fan of Bombay Sapphire myself, just got a long relationship with Gordon's and I feel somehow endebted to it for getting me through my whiskey/vodka periods. I have two large bottles sitting with me now, one from the US and one from UK.vamp rocks post=18.70094.685379 said:ok... for some reason i cant quote people any more... at any rate r4ndom i was going to say that in my opinion gordons is okay... but i prefer Bombay Saphire gin.. anyone else with me??
Sorry to have to break this to ya son, but alcohol is one of the most potent and debilitating drugs in existence. Didn't mean to shatter the drug-free image you painted for yourself though =/The Iron Ninja post=18.70094.683713 said:Indeed they are!LewsTherin post=18.70094.682944 said:Hmph.Iron Ninja cigars are clearly superior
I've honestly never smoked, though if I did I'd go straight to Cigars. If you're gonna destroy your lungs you might as well do it in style.
I've also never done drugs of any kind (and don't ever plan to change that)
But I continously drink (anything) until I have run out of bottles. I have drunk a whole cooler full of cans of expired beer, which isn't as bad as it sounds (Note, I drank from the cans, not the cooler)
I was aware of that when I wrote it, I'm suprised no one called me out on it sooner.Mistah Kurtz post=18.70094.686943 said:Sorry to have to break this to ya son, but alcohol is one of the most potent and debilitating drugs in existence. My intention wasn't to insult you personally or imply that you weren't 'clean', I was only pointing out the fact that as an alcoholic you DO use drugs, and that drug is alcohol. Just because it's legal and you drink it doesn't mean that it isn't a drug. So, yes, you are in fact a drug user. The Iron Ninja post=18.70094.686962 said:Mistah Kurtz post=18.70094.686943 said:Sorry to have to break this to ya son, but alcohol is one of the most potent and debilitating drugs in existence. I don't smoke and I don't do any drugs, but I'm an alchoholic. I didn't say "yay go me! I'm super clean!" or anything did I?
Did that come off as sounding angry? Sorry, it wasn't supposed to.Mistah Kurtz post=18.70094.686990 said:My intention wasn't to insult you personally or imply that you weren't 'clean', I was only pointing out the fact that as an alcoholic you DO use drugs, and that drug is alcohol. Which is good ... how?implodingMan post=18.70094.687033 said:Weed + alcohol = HELLZ YEAH. That stuff messes you up.
Nah, I just find it annoying when people refuse to lump alcohol in with drugs (a huge factor in the failure to legalize marijuana in most countries). For most people, alcohol is not considered a drug - rather, it's just a drink that makes you act funny. I always get angry when someone criticizes me for smoking pot and being a drug user (not that you were) and then head to the bar for a good drunkening. I mean, if you're going to rate drugs in terms of potency and fuckupery, marijuana is certainly not going to be high on that list. Smoking marijuana has never caused me to lose my ability to go to school, study, drive, work, or anything else really. Alcohol on the other hand, after the 5-6 drink mark, will for most people render those activities impossible or at the very least highly inadvisable. The fact that alcohol is winked at and marijuana is demonized boils my blood to no end, so I take every chance I get to jump on those who say things like "I drink alcohol but I don't use drugs" because this attitude is one of the driving forces behind the marijuana prohibition mentality. No offense though. The Iron Ninja post=18.70094.687007 said:Did that come off as sounding angry? I know that alchohol is considered a drug, but I'm addicted to alchohol, that's bad enough, I'm not going to make it worse with more drugs.
Edit: But yes, you are right, Alchohol=Drug.
Really? I find it impossible to even feel weed after drinking. I avoid smoking pot while drunk for no other reason than I feel that it's a waste of weed, since alcohol is a much stronger drug. Plus I smoke pot daily, which i'm sure has something to do with that. For me though, smoking weed while drinking alcohol is like drinking a Mikes Hard Lemonade after a half gallon of vodka - not even worth the time or money.implodingMan post=18.70094.687033 said:Weed = Fun times.

I do view Alchohol in the same light as other drugs really, I just responded like they weren't since that was the way I read the question in the thread. If I wasn't an alchoholic I wouldn't touch booze either anyway. I don't think very highly of anyone who uses them by choice (no offence meant, no seriously I'm not being sarcastic, the last time I said 'no offence meant' someone took offence and I got put on probation).Mistah Kurtz post=18.70094.687137 said:I take every chance I get to jump on those who say things like "I drink alcohol but I don't use drugs" because this attitude is one of the driving forces behind the marijuana prohibition mentality. Are you suggesting that it's not your choice to drink? The Iron Ninja post=18.70094.687148 said:I do view Alchohol in the same light as other drugs really, I just responded like they weren't since that was the way I read the question in the thread. Yeah, but you said you don't think highly of people who use drugs 'by choice', and you're saying that it's not really your choice because your addicted? That's nonsense. I'm addicted to tobacco, weed, and formerly alcohol, and it is all my choice to continue using those drugs. If I truly wanted to stop, all I would have to do is make the choice to stop. There are reformed drug addicts all over the world who will tell you that drug use is a choice, whether you're addicted or not. Despite what our PC-culture likes to say about alcoholism, it is a choice, it is not a disease, and it's not an excuseThe Iron Ninja post=18.70094.687153 said:I try not to. but I'm somewhat addicted, it's generaly refered to as being an alchoholic. I've used the word a few times in this thread already (no offence meant, my tone is not angry)
