Poll: Finishing Final Fantasy.

I - Recently got, played about 6 hours and screwed myself over.
II - Bought about the same time as I. Haven't touched. Was going to beat I first.
VII - Beat multiple times
VIII - Ugh. Tried and tried to play it, but it is just boring.
X - Beat once to see the ending, but also kept a save file just before going after Sin to get all the stuff first.
XII - Got to the final boss and lost on the third form, decided to go and get everything before going back to finish it.
XIII - Still playing.

Also beat Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus, and... erm... beat the story thing or whatever with a few characters in Dissidia.

So what is your track record of the games? Any reasons you quit?

I'm yet to make it to the third disc of FFVII. I've tried a few times. Recently on PSP. It's not happening though. I just get bored. It seems I'd rather sit quietly on a train with my eyes closed. Sad.

I've not played any others. I don't see this changing.

hmm lets see. finished I on GBA. got half way through II. got 1 hour into III. got about three hours into IV. got halfway through the second disk of VII. got 4 hours into VIII. and am curently 13 hours into XIII and going strong. also got to the VERY last boss on Crisis Core but got frustrated and rage quit, and beat FF:CC for the game cube (Im not sure what that adds up to so ill just put ive beaten one)

I've only played VI, VII, VIII, X and XII.

I'm halfway through both XII and VI (still ongoing, for now) and I've completed the three others. I tend to find the stories compelling [sub](hurr)[/sub] enough to make me persevere through any gameplay shortcomings.

I've really only played Crystal Chronicles during a summer when I broke a rib. Other than that... I've played a few minutes of the others and they fail to get me interested right away. People insist they are 'some of the best games ever' but they're just not my cup of tea.

Played a lot through 12, clocking in many hours, but then I got my 360. I could still go on, but I can't bring myself to get back to the PS2.

When I was younger (12 or so) a friend of mine who was obsessed with them got me to try one, and I got into the first fight and didn't like the whole taking turns thing.

FFI - Completed (PS1 and PSP updates)
FFII - I just find the story so boring... I've tried on three occasions to finish it, starting from the beginning each time but I... just CAN'T FINISH IT!
FFIII - Finished DS version, then played a NES translated ROM about 70% through, then got distracted with something else
FFIV - Finished SNES version, got about 40% through DS version and got bored as the augments were annoying me
FFV - SNES translated ROM, played and loved, my favourite Final Fantasy, currently playing through on GBA, loving it.
FFVI - Played about 80% on PS1 but then my friend wanted the game back, a few years later finished it on SNES
FFVII - Finished... waaaay too many times to count
FFVIII - Finished... waaaaay many more times than FFVII
FFIX - Played through once, hated... a lot, have tried to replay several times but get bored before the 2nd disc
FFX - Played through once, played about 80% through another two times
FFX-2 - Played through once, hated... tried picking it up again about a month ago and hated it within 10 minutes
FFXII - Initially liked it but the automatic battling and the special attack (forgot name) spamming during boss fights just was not fun

Crisis Core FFVII - Played through once on hard, loved it... only recently completed so it'll be a while before I go back
Final Fantasy Tactics - Found the battling to be too restrictive and slow... christ it was slow... so gave up after about 2 hours
Dissidia - I completed Squall's campaign, didn't really do much for me

1: Completed NES, PS1, and GBA versions. Got final equipment for all characters and beat WARMECH/Bonus dungeons on GBA.

2: Completed PS1 version, played NES and GBA version to Jade Passage.

3: Played NES version to main world, played DS version to second-to-last dungeon.

4: Completed SFC version (ROM translation hack), PS1 version, GBA version including bonus dungeon and Zeromus EG, and am at sealed cave on DS version (first playthrough, ongoing).

5: Completed SFC version (ROM translation hack) including Omega and Shinryu, mastered all jobs.

6: Played SNES version up to world of ruin.

7: Completed PC and PS1 versions, including Emerald/Ruby, mastered all materia.

8: Completed PS1 version, including Omega, played Chocobo World to Lv. 100 and got 3 Ribbons.

9: Completed PS1 version, not beaten Ozma, have beaten Hades.

10: Completed with all summons, no Dark Aeons/Penance.

10-2: Completed with around 98% completion, got good not best ending, beaten Via Infinito/Trema.

12: Played to final dungeon, stopped, did get Lv. 99 party.

13: Completed, not done postgame yet.

I've played Final Fantasies II,IV,V,VI,VII,VIII,IX,X and, XIII. Of these I've beaten II, IV, VII and, IX. I've made it to disc 3 of VIII and am playing it at the moment with plans to beat it. I can't remember how far I made it in V...I think I only rented that one anyway. VI I made it past the midpoint but lost interest. X I lost interest at some point which I can't remember. I remember the last boss I went up against was an Ochu...I think. In XIII I finally got past Sazh's Eidolon but am now stuck fighting Cid. I keep hearing that it gets better later on but here I am on Chapter 10 and stuck again. If I can make it to chapter 11 then maybe I'll stop being so angry at XIII.

ff2, 8, and 9(even though this is one of my favorites) I have yet to finish. ff2 i spend a looooooooong time abusing my team mates. 8 I never get past disc 1, and 9 has caught my GTA curse. where something happens to the disc/data making it so I can't go forward or loose data.

12 international was amazing by the way. that needed to be said.

I started with FFTA for the GBA at around age 11/12...then got FF1/FF2 pack, FF4, FF5, and FF6. Also FFT and FFTA2. Finished them all, enjoyed 5 the most for the 'best' class system.

Heard FF7 is overrated, ignored FF8/9, enjoyed FFX and X2, ingored the online one, got FF12, got bored, not getting FF13.
