Truer words were never spoken. *Is a complete console tard*More Fun To Compute said:Mouse look allows for more raw and faster gameplay so if you like slower paced games that take less twitch skill then console is great for FPS games.
Enough with the $700 to $1000 nonsense. The majority of people already own a modern (supporting PCI express) computer and it takes less than $150 to throw in a very capable graphics card and a memory upgrade to run anything out there right now with high settings, even Crysis. And these two upgrades will play anything that comes along for the next couple of years. PC gaming is actually a cheaper option than playing on a console and is even cheaper when you consider the price of the games which are $10 less by default and drop a lot faster.TheOneTrueMaster said:I do believe there are much more advantages to playing on a pc but the fact of the matter is that all those cool new games they come out with need some expensive hardware to play them and i don't know if you have money growing on a tree in your backyard but if your not willing to spend 700 to 1000 dollars on a computer a console is a pretty good substitute and you learn to live with the limitations. Playing an FPS on a console is akin to playing ice hockey without skates. Sure you can do it but it sucks and is only slightly more enjoyable than a trip to the dentist.
I haven't been here THAT long, but JESUS I've seen enough "console vs. PC for FPS" threads. And I also never ever do this, but....SEARCH BUTTON PLZTHX.ph3onix said:another console vs. PC thread?
Well apparently im not apart of the majority and can just shell out 150 bucks when needed to upgrade the computer. At the moment I cant spare the cash right now since work is tight and im not having money constantly come at the end of every week or two weeksingsoc said:Enough with the $700 to $1000 nonsense. But on a pc, you don't need new games as often... and you only get that one UBER game once a year that might require an upgrade. I've had a total of 2 PCs over about 8 years, with 0 upgrades unless you include driver updates. Hell, the last 2 games I actually bothered buying were Orange Box and WAR (neather requiring any hardware), which with recent updates means I'm still playing them quite happily.TheOneTrueMaster said:Well not everyone can just shell out 150 bucks when they need to upgrade their computer. Same thing happens on the PC, but, instead of new games you get mods which are free.TheOneTrueMaster said:Yes new games do come out more often on consoles than PC but isn't that a good thing. With a new game coming out more often you get to experience something new and sometimes really good. Understandably there are some really bad games that were made and inevitably more to come but all the while most bad games are experiments and we need bad ones so to see how to try and make the coming games better
(This was probably very off topic buy i felt i needed to say it)
I find it as easy as a gamepad.TheOneTrueMaster said:Rusty Bucket said:i hate using WASD to move
