PC. My god, PC. I don't know what it is about a first-person game on a TV, but I feel like I have no peripheral vision. It doesn't matter if I'm playing on a widescreen TV and a 4:3 monitor, I feel like I can't see properly, I feel like my gun is obstructing my view, and I feel like there's shit going on to the sides that I'm just not seeing. The only exception is Halo; I feel like it works on the Xbox and doesn't on the PC. Otherwise, it doesn't even matter what system the game was designed for.

console for me. Clicking a mouse to shoot people makes me feel like I have a vagina. Xbox gives me an honest to goodness trigger.
What.

That's almost as dumb as what Jack Thompson says.

So you prefer a random buttonmash/buttonhold with an inaccurate device that can't ever be as fast and precise as a mouse. Ever.

it's much more easier to play fps on pc ,even though consoles arent bad though
the mouse keyboard combo gives more faster and smoother gameplay

PC of course. It's where I went through the whole of the learning curve from the more simpicistic shooters of the late 90s to the monsters they are today. Using a keyboard and mouse is they way I can and like to play them. I tried it on consoles many times and always felt like a ham-handed three-year old trying to play Chopin.

PC, mainly because I can customize controles and its a lot easier to aim with the mouse.

plus, some games support mods and/or user created maps, like Halo and Halo 2, which are a lot better on PC

PC, although Its more difficult to play a lan game than split screen, but hell my fav multiplayer fps (TF2) doesn't even have split screen so..1 - 0 to the PC :D
+1

PC all the way

Although I enjoyed playing Killzone 2 even it was super awesome hard to actually aim at anyone in game

I find I am to spastic and ADD with the mouse to use it properly. So for that reasoning I prefer console FPS's

It really depends. Their is no way Half-Life 2 would have worked on a Wii, and there is no chance Metroid Prime 3 would have worked on a PC.

On the whole, I think PC FPS'ing is better, but consoles are getting better and better

Console, because I possess the necessary dexterity to move my thumb in a circle unlike many people here and all games will run at full performance and graphics guaranteed without expensive upgrades. Also it's weird to strafe diagonally with wasd keys. You either need to hold two keys, or look that way and move forward.

Why.

Remove the gimmicky controles in favor of something superior and you have an even better game.

And with a console you must hold the gamepad all the time. You can't put it down and periodically press one button.

So you have only your thumb and maybe pointing finger to work.

Let's also not forget that modern keyboards have tens of buttons to have actions assigned.

Both things would work. I don't see why it shouldn't work.

hard for me to pin this down, on one hand the controller for me is better because my hand fits snugly where the buttons are and i have less button press error's (mainly because I'm uncoordinated )and tend to strafe right instead of quick turn or whatever
but the accuracy with the analog sticks is far under shadowed by the mouse, if there were some way of marrying the two together I'd be a professional gamer.

Which do people prefer to play first person shooters on? I'm a console boy, however my friend is a Pc fan. I just find it alot easier on the consoles.
Buy your friend an ice cream sandwich for being correct. Then, go to the river and sit on the bench and stare off into the water as you contemplate your life. Skip some stones across the water, perhaps. Squat down in the sand and look at your reflection in the water. Sigh, deeply. Cleanse yourself of your thoughts. Then, never allow them to return again.
i could do all that mate. still wouldnt change me mind though. used to be a pc gamer, but i just find a console easier and much more social. i can sit with my mate and play a co-op game or just sit and watch, and tell each other what he's doing wrong and how the me/he would do it a thousand times better. cant have interaction like that on a pc fps

I miss an option: both. I find playing Halo 3 just as fun as playing Counterstrike: Source.
