Sorry to sound like an idiot, but it's like the Gift of the Magi! With yourself! You gave up video games for money, so that you can buy video games, but whooops!, you can't! Cuz you just gave it up!

So, no. I wouldn't.

Roughly 1.45 million dollars, that'd do wonders for me and pretty well end money worries for foreseeable future.

I love games, but I have other interests.

Considering I'm headed into the gaming industry? Well I would make more than that in the long run if I DIDN'T give up games :p so the answer..

Hells NO! I'm surprised anyone said yes. I was thinking "I wonder if even one person said yes" then it turned out to be about half.
Just curious, do you struggle to pay bills, insurance, cost of living? Removing that stress from life cannot be overstated.

Also, with that kind of money I could easily grow it over investments and secure future kids college funds. Games are great, but other aspects to life, especially as you get older.

Yep, got other hobbies besides gaming, and the 1 mil quit would certainly help.

The only thing that would make me slightly hesitant is that I don't know what kind of video games there will be in the future. Other than that there's no question about it. Video games is a great way to waste time when you don't have anything better to do, but it's not my primary interest. With 1.000.000£ I'm sure I could find better ways to spend my time.

Raise the price and maybe I'd do it, but I play video games every day and I'd hate to lose them, especially since my friends play quite a bit too.

No amount of money is worth the stuff that makes me happy. There's always more money out there. Would you give up pleasure to never feel pain? Of course not, I think this an extension of that.

Damn, whenever I'm asked the "what would you do with a million bucks?" question, I always start thinking about which games I'd buy. I guess if I gave up video games I could make anime my main obsession...on second thought, I'm good with being a poor teenager.

i don't play video games that often, but they help to stop me from going insane and having a breakdown.

Of course I would! That's, like, almost two million dollars! If I had that kind of money, I'd forsake videogames and have all the real experiences I could think of. I'd travel all over the world, eat all the different kinds of food, learn how to BASE jump, learn all sorts of martial arts and become like Batman, and join the French Foreign Legion.

IMO, videogames are just something you do to pass the time when you don't have any REALLY AWESOME stuff to do.
