If gay marriage is legalized, then they should just legalize polygamy, and 70 year old men should be able to marry 16 year old girls, and parents should be allowed to marry their children. Where the hell are we supposed to draw the line? Someone please let me know.

If you love someone enough to marry them, go ahead.
If a guy likes a guy or a girl likes a girl, big whoop, let them get on with it.

"Why not?"
The above is my only thought about gay marriage.
That said, I am against the idea of marriage in general. I just don't see the romantic/useful part of it.

We're supposed to draw the line at idiots like you. It isn't an arms race dude.

Im in California so this was a big deal a while back. Quite frankly... my political stance on most things is not-carrian.
But, they really shouldn't call it marriage as for a lot of picky people, that would degrade the separation of church in state. They should call it a homosexual union and give them all the rights that a married couple does.... no one would know.
This is exactly what we should do. Brilliant man.

Well, since my parents never got married, and I'm arguably a perfetly normal teenager, I don't actually see the big deal in marriage anyway. So I'm all for letting homosexuals get married. I mean, I know at least three kids alightly younger than me who have two mothers, and they've all turned out fine. So the "for the children" argument is a bit stupid.

What's to understand? Why should we look at adverse effects of raising these children? Is it going to effect you in any way? Are your parents gay? Are you gay for that matter? Why restrict other from doing something when it chances are it isn't going to effect you in any way. When I say chance I mean there is that tiny, tiny chance that when gays are allowed to get married that the religious right will rise up and burn and destroy because they came to a country where people can't have there own opinions or ideas.

The way I see it, it's nobody's business but that of gay couples. Let them be married, it does absolutely nothing to anyone else. The religious nuts just can't stomach letting something that's against the bible alone, when they just need to keep their noses out of it.

@Agentnine- Nope, I just work there. We're currently trying re-engineer a new Leviathen- the old one got killed when the Bismark sank on it, so we're building a new one. Incidentally, have you seen the Kraken anywhere? It's kind of a work-in-progress, but now it's started having children....

@Wrongsprite: Yup, it's Thatcher. Or at least, something resembling her. We sort of threw her in an acid pit when she first arrived.

I've got gay friends, and I think they should be entitled to screw up their lives just as much as straight people. It's not like there's sanctity in marriage nowadays.

So you disagree with your religion and/or god?
You realize you are not a truley devoute follower then....
This is why I'm an Atheist Pastafarian.
Fyi I'm for it. I am just exploring my sexuality and I think I might be bi.

Raising children in a gay household is wrong!!!!!!!!!!
jk
Honestly there is no difference. I have a friend who's parents are gay. I honestly did not see a difference( a major one) between him and other people, actually thats not true. He was definately more open minded, perhaps even moreso than me.
