It's just bad grammar and wrong.
OT: I have to go with "I don't have to get a life. I'm a gamer. I have many lives."
And to TheNamlessGuy as well. 'no u' is a simple and dismissive response that confounds the insulter, it is difficult to respond to. It shows you don't take the insulter's 'advice' seriously. In longer battles it also gives the insulter a false sense of intellectual advantage, leaving them tempted to show their supposed intellectual superiority, which can then be cut down later. Either that or it enrages them (as proved by your response), which leaves them more willing to say silly things in anger which you can use against them.XJ-0461 said:How the hell is "no u" cool? It's immature as hell, like something an 8 year old would say, and it marks you as an idiot since it shows you can't think of your own witty reply.
On topic: "I have lots of lives. I play videogames" is always the geeky/cool response.
oops didnt see your post.SuperMse said:I've never received this insult...umm, the psycho response is a bit funny, though.
Um, I don't know why you would think I am trolling here, and there is literally nothing to report. I think you must have misread the original post.Connor Lonske said:This is ether a troll thread, or OP is an idiot. On topic, depends on if I like the person or not. If I like the guy, I say "No, you." in a joking manor. If I am indifferent about the person, I say the inner-pain one. I hate the person with a burning passion, like OP, I report then move on, unless its real life, then i use the psycho.
heh, that ran through my head whilst I was thinking about this.Blights said:GET SWIFTCOVERED
Ah yeah. I wouldn't normally but in this case it seems to add something to the response, I feel.TheNamlessGuy said:Tsk tsk tsk.
I didn't say it was anything wrong with the insult in question.
I'm just saying that it's god awful to say "u" instead of "you".
Good counter argument, though I'm going to stick with my original position. Can we agree to disagree?EchetusXe said:TheNamlessGuy said:Since when is "No u" cool.

It either pacifies the opponent by making a joke out of the situation or it draws the opponent out, is my theory.
Some really good responses here guys btw.
To distinguish it, of course, from those 4-letter words which are not short. Long off!Yureina said:It would be a short 4-letter word closely followed by the word "off". ;P
I guess completely ineffective in both cases would make both cases equal. In real life or on-line, it is an equally effective insult.
Yes we can. It is so difficult to think of a decent 'cool response' to the insult though. The fact that the opponent apparently feels that you have no 'life' kinda implies that you are not cool. Cool is such a precious thing that once lost is difficult to get back, especially so quickly.XJ-0461 said:Good counter argument, though I'm going to stick with my original position.
